Right now, I was walking down our halls while Ekko, Scar, Axel, and Blake trailed behind me as I made my way to where our 'guests' were staying.

"Morgana, what a shit show." I rumbled as I shook my head.

"Dina, I keep telling you that Powder is gone. Jinx is all that remains of the blue-haired girl we once knew." Ekko said bitterly.

"Ekko, she's broken." I replied.

"Dina, she was shooting at us. All of us. She might not be well, but she's also dangerous." Blake replied.

"Don't you think I know that? Isn't that why I took a bullet for you back on the airship? I didn't want her to hurt you. I didn't want her to hurt any of you." I answered gruffly.

"... I'm sorry my lion." Blake said after a second.

I sighed.

"It isn't your fault. It's no one's fault except Silco's." I said.

The talking stopped when we passed some others and I nodded to them.

Ekko spoke up after we were a distance away.

"I wish I did something that day. Silco took in a broken and vulnerable Powder who had nothing else to cling to." Ekko admitted, his voice filled with emotion.

"No, no, it's not your fault either little brother. You were just her age when all of that happened. You weren't even supposed to be there, but I will always be thankful that you were." I said gratefully.

"You know... you always thank me for that day, but everyone here can thank you for saving their asses on more than one occasion. I'll even go first. When we raided one of Finn's warehouses in the early years of the firelights and you had to take nasty slash across your chest for me." Ekko said, proudly.

Others would have thought Ekko was proud of himself, but I know he was proud of me for protecting him.

My lion rumbled positively at his statement.

"I'll go second!" Scar chirped. "Remember when we were walking the Lanes and some scumbag tried something on me? But you were right by my side and handled him before he could even lay a finger on me!"

"Why wouldn't I Scar? The man was a threat, and he was talking about doing disgusting things to you. It had my blood boiling." I replied, just getting angry at remembering what the man had almost done.

"I'll go third I guess." Axel offered, voice deep. "I was surrounded by enforcers when they still did their weekly raids of the Lanes. I was on my knees, bruised and beaten with a gun to my head. I thought they were going to kill right then and there but the barrel of the gun was jerkily shoved out of the way as the enforcer fired. I looked up to see a tall body standing protectively in front of me. You single handedly took down a team of enforcer with only your hands." Axel re-told the story.

"I remember that day. I hadn't even been awake for a couple days, but I saw what they were doing to our people, so I stepped in. I knew we would be friends as soon as I felt your firm grip with our handshake." I said, chuckling.

"And mine..." Blake said timidly. "You saved me from getting shot, but you also saved my life from servitude. A whore house that didn't care about there whores or if they served willingly. My family sold me off to get some quick money and I thought I would die there. Morgana knows I tried... One day the brothel gets raided, but not by enforcers. All of us who worked in the brothel crowded into one room and prayed that we didn't get found... but we did get found and it was the best thing that ever happened to me. You opened the doors my lion all bloody and bruised but still standing tall..."
