Firelights.

They were everywhere in these particular sewers.

We were walking in our pathway that led to the outside world.

Caitlyn was craning her head to see them all.

"What are they?" Caitlyn asked.

"We call them firelights. Never seen so many though." Vi answered.

"They swarm here because of this their nesting ground. The lay their eggs and raise their young here." I replied as we kept walking.

"Is there a reason they picked this particular area?" Caitlyn asked.

"The temperature is just right here. A warm yet damp environment that is perfect for laying there young. There also isn't any predator around here that would harm them, so its perfect for raising a family." I answered.

Talking stopped after that and everyone enjoyed the scenery as we walked toward the bridge.

This particular path led us straight to the inner works of the bridge.

All of only had to climb a bit and we were on our way to crossing into Piltover.

It was a foggy night and eerily quiet as we walked on in silence.

I heard a set of footsteps stop walking and I looked back to see that Vi had stopped.

Caitlyn and I shared a glance, unsure what she was doing.

"Vi?" I asked.

Vi looked so conflicted and I could guess what was on her mind.

"I can't leave her again, D." Vi said.

"No one said you have to, Vi. Do what your heart tells you to." I replied as we looked into each other's eyes.

Vi came up to me and gave me a tight hug.

"Thank you, Dina." Vi whispered, her arms squeezing me tight.

"I wouldn't want the woman I love to not be herself, Vi." I said.

"What?" Vi asked, but I stepped back from her and gestured with my head for her to go.

Vi looked conflicted, confusion swirling in those charming eyes of hers, but she walked up to Caitlyn to give her an equally long hug before leaving us.

I sighed.

"She'll be ok, Princess." I said already knowing what was on Caitlyn's mind.

"I hope so..." Caitlyn whispered.

When we reached Piltovers side, bright lights suddenly turned on us and we both covered our eyes at the sudden change.

"Caitlyn? What is this?" I asked my eyes trying to adjust to the light.

Caitlyn didn't respond, but I could see that they were enforcers.

And also...

A certain enforcer.

Balam.

"Sir! I have proof! Silco is behind everything!" Caitlyn yelled as she pulled out her badge.

"Caitlyn! You moron! He works for Silco." I whisper-snarled at her.
