56. Amy

"You look pretty." Emily comments. 

"Not as beautiful as you. You look like diva in the black dress." I compliment her. We are getting for the fashion show. Were the models are wearing jewel pieces from our latest collection. The fashion show is organized by famous fashion designer. Many reputed names are in the guest list.

We are at backstage. Helping models wear the jewelries. Many famous models and actress are walking down ramp tonight. The backstage is like battlefield. Makeup artists and hair stylists are doing their magic. Designers are fixing the dresses. The event head is telling models the number they are going to walk.

Sharp at 8'0 clock, the show started. Models walked confidently on the ramp. Showcasing not only the clothes but also jewelries. The show was huge success, all the guests were excitedly talking about the displays. 

After the show, the after party began. Music was blasting from the speakers. Drinks were being served. Some were dancing on the dance floor. Some gossiping. chit chatting among themselves. I and Emily were talking with one of the client we worked. She was very impressed by the new collection. 

I feel hungry, so I decided to grab something. I went near the snack bar.  I tasted a little bot of snacks. It was good. I went to grab juice and bumped into Page. She should have been here, trying to show off her status. She just want to be at parties and show to show her status be it related or not. She just want attention to be on her. 

"Oh. You are here as well." Page tells me. 

I ignored her and grab a glass of juice from table. 

"Hoe is your high class life? Now that you work at SJ?" Page asks. "It must feel good to have a rich person backing you."

"That's not your concern." I cut her off. She is trying to provoke me. I don't want to cause any type of drama because of her. She is not worth of it. 

I took the glass and move away from her. She stopped me by pulling my hand. "I am talking to you." She says in cold tone, her true nature is showing. 

I push her hand away from mine and walk away without looking or talking to her. She must have annoyed her which I wanted. She gets annoyed when she doesn't get reaction she wants. Thw whole night I kept ignoring her whenever I saw her approaching me. Which she has been doing the whole night. She is trying to approach me the whole night. I don't know what she wants from me?

It's getting late, I should go back to home. Adam must be waiting for me. It feels nice to know someone is waiting for you at home. Adam feels this everyday for 3 months. Today, I am feeling this way, it's actually feels good. He always feel this whenever he comes home knowing that I am waiting for him at home. 

I was waiting for cab outside the venue, when Page comes and stand beside me. "Come on Amy, tell me the name of the person who is backing you?" Page asks bluntly.

"What are you talking?" I ask her. I am getting angry at her. She clearly knows I am avoiding her, then also she is pestering me. "Look Page. I don't want you to interfere in my life. You wanted Anthony, you got him. Now, what do you want from me?"

"I just want to know the person you are sleeping with?" Her question angered me. 'I mean look at you. Your appearance is average. You have no special talent. You are not smart either. But then also, you are working at SJ as jewelry designer and live at C Tower. It's not possible for you to have so much money unless you slept with some old guy who is about to die." How does she know I live in C Tower? Does she knows about me and Adam? No way.

"Shut up." I yell loudly at her. She get shook. "I am not you going around here and there trying to get attention." 

"You?" Page face turns uglier. 

"Let me be honest, do you think you are talented? Do you think the works you are getting is possible by your talent? Then let me tell you. You are wrong. The projects which you are getting is because Anthony pays to the producers to cast you. You are nothing without him. All the work you are doing or going to work is all due to Anthony's money." I pause for a moment. "Do you think I don't know that you are not loyal to Anthony? Was it a producer? What will Anthony do when he comes to know that the person he loves so much is not loyal to him?" 

Page broke into cold sweat. "How do you know?"

"Oh. So it's true." Page was deeply shaken. "Page, let me advice you. Think about yourself. What would happen if Anthony comes to know about your affair? How will he react?" Page's face turn pale. She was left speechless. 

My ride arrived. I boarded the car and left terrified Page standing on the spot. The whole ride my mind was distributed. How can my and Adam relation is wrong? Our relation is very pure. Just like other couple in relation who are in love. 

I reached home. I open the door and enter. I saw Adam was watching TV. He is waiting for me. Aww. My hearts warms. I go near him. I saw Adam was asleep. He fall a sleep while watching TV. I felt emotional. I slowly caress his hair. He wakes up. He blinks his eyes few time. He open his one eye, "You are back." He ask in his sleepy voice.

"Hmm." I say and sit beside home. 

"You should have slept in your room." I say him.

"I am waiting for you." He says. "Did you ate?" I nod my head. He smiles, "Let go, it's getting late."

I hug him without saying anything. Adam was surprise by my action. "What happen?" He ask and hugs me back.

"Nothing. Just want to recharge."
