76. Amy

I fill out the registration form of the competition. The competition is being held at LA. Adam wants to come with me but he has work which needs his attention. He made all arrangements for me. Hotels, transportation, food. He took care of everything for me. 

After flight, I reached LA. The driver was waiting for me at the airport. I check in the hotel. I text him that I reached the hotel. I came early 2 days early. I want to wander around LA. I have never been here. I went to sightseeing, shopping and ate lots of local food.

Tomorrow is the competition day. I should be fresh and ready to take any challenge. After shower, I lied on the bed and fell asleep.

The next day, I got up and got ready. I pack all the things and documents I need for the competition. Adam messaged me before competition, 'All the best for the competition. Win it.'

'Thanks' I replied him back.

Everyone sent me, 'Best of luck.' messages. Emily, Logan, May and other team members. 

With confidence and nervousness, I travel to the venue. Come on, Amy. Go for it. 

I enter competition venue. There were many participants at the venue. I felt nervous. I got scared. At that exact time, I got call from Adam. "Hey." His voice some what calmed me down. 

"Hey." I greet.

"You ready?" Adam ask. "How you feeling?"

"Just nervous." I tell honestly.

"It's okay to be nervous. Just take deep breath. You are gonna be great. Just believe in yourself." Adam encourages me. His words motivated me. My confidence rises hearing him. No matter what. Win or loss. It doesn't matter. I am gonna try my best. Give it my best shot. This time it's for me.

With confidence, I enter the hall. The host welcomes all the participants. He welcomes the judges of the competition. All the judges are renowned names in jewelry industry. He then asked the head of organization to give welcome speech. He also thanks all the sponsors of the competition. After the introductory. Competition began. 

I thought and got many ideas. After imagining it in my mind, I start to drew. As per what I imagined, I drew exactly that. The draft matched with what I imagined. Great Amy.

After the competition and results announcements. I came back to my hotel room. As soon I enter the room, I heard running water from the bathroom, someone is taking shower. Wait, who entered my room? Is it my room or I entered in the wrong room. I check room number. It's mine. Then, who entered my room without my permission? The sound of water stops

I tightly grip my purse. The door of bathroom opens. A tall figure comes out.

I am about to hit the person with my purse. Purse? Bad weapon to hit. But, that's what I have in my hand. Even though its a purse, I can hit him really hard with it.

The person grabs my hands to stop him from hitting. "Amy, what's wrong with you?" It is Adam's voice.

"Adam." I get shock. "Why? When? How come you are here?" I ask him. Surprised to speak. I just hug him. His warmth invades me. I have not seen him in 2 days. I missed him though when I was touring around. I wanted Adam to tour with me. But, he has work commitments.

"Wanted to surprise you." He says. "Missed me?"

"You bet." I say, still hugging him. "Missed you so much." My head on his chest. His chin on the top of my head. He bends and takes my lips in his waiting mouth. Kissing me devoring. Missed his kiss.

"How was your competition?" He ask me.

"Tense. Nervous." I say, "I did my best." I say with low voice.

"It's okay. You did your best. Winning or losing doesn't matter." He consoles.

"I know." I slowly remove a surprise item from my bag.

Adam looks at me curiously. 

"You gave me surprise. Now, my turn to surprise you." Saying this, I show him the certificate and award. "I won. 2nd place." I say with excitement. Jumping on the seat.

"That's great." He took certificate and award from my hand. He scan them. He look so excited. More than me.

"Though I won 2nd place. I am happy and proud." I say happily.

"Next time. You will definitely win 1st place." He says proudly.

"I will." I made promise. Next time, I will definitely come first. I want to become best designer. I want to prove my worth.

"I know you will." Adam says. 

I give him the details about the competition. Each and every detail. We lie on bed, embrace each other. He talk about his work. I am trying to understand business. Maybe, I should enroll in online business class. It's not bad to learn new things, subjects.
