"Let's play something, guys!" Adi exclaimed.

"Yeah, let's play Ludo," Akriti chirped, putting her phone down.

"No, let's play chess," Lakshya suggested. Aradhana, who was drinking her strawberry shake while half-lying on Rudransh, sighed.

"It's played between two people, and we are definitely more than two," Ranvijay mocked.

"Yeah, but—"

"He wants to play chess because he was a national-level chess player twice and loves to flaunt his talent," Aradhana explained, causing Lakshya to smile cheekily as his achievements were mentioned.

"National-level player?" Anaya asked, shocked like the others. Aradhana nodded, uninterested. She knew how to play but was never as involved as Lakshya, who played whenever he was free.

"You were a national-level player? Our Rudransh was an international-level chess player!" Veeransh said proudly, looking at his best friend Rudransh, who was playing with his wife's braided hair, twisting and turning it around his fingers.

"What?" Lakshya exclaimed, standing up.

"International level?" Aradhana asked, now excited, sitting up straight and jerking her hair away from his fingers. Veeransh nodded, and she raised her eyebrows at the new information.

"How many times and in which year?" Lakshya asked, not believing the information. Rudransh, who was busy gazing at his wife lying on him, looked at him boringly.

"What?" he muttered, unaware of their conversation.

"You were an international player, right? How many times?" Lakshya clarified. Rudransh gazed at him and then at Aradhana, who also looked at him with interest. He sighed.

"Three times, six years ago," he replied. Lakshya slumped back in his seat as if defeated, and Aradhana nodded, acknowledging her husband's achievement.

"He indeed is smart-minded with a handsome face," she thought, smiling.

"Let's see now who wins then, should I bring the board" Aditya asked getting up from his seat and ready to depart.

"Yeah, what do you say, Lakshya?" Kartik asked, getting involved.

"Yeah, Lakshya, do you want to play?" Veeransh asked, smirking at Rudransh, who looked at them with boredom. Lakshya glanced at them and thought for a brief second.

"Yeah, let's have a match," he announced. Everyone cheered, and Adi went to get the board while Veeransh and Kartik set up a table with chairs for the audience.

Rudransh was seated on the couch with Aradhana, a table placed between them, and Lakshya opposite them. Everyone seemed excited and settled around on chairs.
