(By the way, this takes place after she meets everyone but Terri. Why? You may ask. Why couldn't you write in her meeting everyone. Well, the answer is simple. It's hard to rewrite the episodes without the Plantars. Next chapter will feature Mr. X though.)

Anne hummed along to a song playing in the kitchen as she removed the freshly baked cookies from the oven, even doing a little dance as she set the hot pan on the stovetop. Her mother walked in behind, "Are those cookies?" her mother asked, Anne nodding in response, "Yep!" The mother grabbed one off the pan, blowing on it before taking a bite. She was surprised about how crunchy it was, "How did you make these so crunchy, Anne?" Anne's tail started to swish around, "That's the cicadas." She told her happily, but her mother fought the urge to throw up the cookie and instead smiled, "H-How nice... Heh.."

Anne's phone soon began to ring. She pulled out her phone from her pocket and checked the caller ID. Dr Jan! Perhaps this was good news. She went over to the living room, passing her father who had a smile on his face as he entered the kitchen, "Are those cookies I smell?" To which his wife immediately spit the cookie out, making his smile get replaced by a frown.

Meanwhile, Anne pressed 'accept call' and put the phone up to her ear, "Hi Dr Jan! Any good news so far?" Anne heard the usual upbeat tone of Dr Jan as the woman explained how she managed to find someone who might know about 'portals' and could help her get back to amphibia, "Great! Where's this located?" But her question was met with a more uneasy tone as Dr Jan explained about the 'Loose-screwed' people of the science community, and that it might be dangerous for her since Anne isn't fully human anymore.

"Oh.. Uh.. Okay."

Anne said goodbye to Dr Jan and hung up, her tail twitching a bit. Well, Dr Jan was right. There are a lot of crazy people in the science community. She put her phone back in her pocket, and her ears flapped as she heard a helicopter noise from above. She immediately felt panic rise within her and rushed back inside before the helicopter could fly over. She was still being hunted by some agent with lipstick. Mr X the agent called himself. She sighed and stood there, thinking to herself.

Anne didn't really have much better to do, so she went up to her room and opened her laptop to watch cat videos. An hour went by before she got bored. If she was going to get back to amphibia and at least get Sasha home, then she might as well do this herself. She exited out of the tab and opened another, looking up the location Dr Jan had mentioned over the phone. She'd need to be careful about this, "Mom!"

Anne's mother pulled up to the place and looked at Anne questioningly, "Are you sure this is the place? All for a science assignment?" Anne nodded to her mothers question, since she lied and said this was all for an assignment she had, "Alright then... Well, get to learning!" Anne got out of the car, telling her mother she would and ran towards the doors to 'Dr Frakes Brainasium'', pulling the hoodie over her head while unaware of the street cameras watching her...

...

Once Anne entered, she took in the sights. Stuff like animals, how the body works, virtual stuff... It was truly amazing. But where was this 'scientist' she was informed of?.. While she was looking around, a kid came up to her, looking at her for a moment before asking 'snacks?'. Anne shook her head and walked by, while the kid turned around and ran back towards a screen. Anne continues her search. This 'Doctor' had to be around here somewhere... But where? Soon she spotted a door with a keycard reader and a sign saying 'Directors Office' and she approached it slowly, making sure her hood stayed put as she got to the door and gently knocked twice. It took a minute before a young blue-haired employee opened the door. They didn't look very excited, though. Probably these snack-zombies that were running around.
