The distant honking of car horns awoke Anne from her unconscious state, the bright sun shining into her different pigmented eyes, making her squint. She slowly sat up, taking in the sights around her before finally realizing she was back in LA! The city in California where she'd grown up since birth! Tears of joy formed in her eyes until she realized she was on the highway and immediately ran out of the way of passing cars, jumping onto a nearby patch of grass and stopping to catch her breath. After many deep breaths, she eventually made her way towards a park... She knew this park extremely well. It was the park her, Marcy and Sasha opened the music box in. Some kids saw her and two screamed while one was amazed, coming up to her and soon she felt a sharp pain shoot into her back as the kid tugged on her... Wing?.. With a smile and the wing in his hand, he then asked, "Are you one of those... Cos-play-ers?.."

Anne looked at the kid, unsure of what to say so she just decided to play along and nodded yes. On the inside, she was freaking out. Where had the wings come from, and why were they there? What was she now?! Her thoughts were interrupted as the kid squealed in excitement, "I'm such a big fan of those! Your cosplay is sooo cool! You're like... A dragon!"

Anne nodded again, sweat forming on her face as she answered, "That's right! I'm cosplaying as a dragon!.. It's uh..." She took one look at her wing, inspecting the whites and the light blues of her feathers, "Ice!" She said quickly, "It's an ice dragon!" The kid smiled widely, "Wow! I want to be just like you when I'm older!" Anne chuckled nervously, looking away to avoid him seeing the slight guilt in her eyes 'No... You really don't...' She thought. 'You wouldn't feast on your friends' flesh like a home-cooked meal...'

Soon the kid ran back to his friends who'd just now come out from hiding, and they resumed playing, leaving Anne in her thoughts until she eventually snapped out of it and started walking away and back in the direction of her home where she'd find her parents. She couldn't lie to them and would have to be honest that she was definitely not the same girl she once was... She was a human with dragon features. But, she wouldn't dare mention a thing about Marcy's near-death because of her actions, or the fact that Sasha is still in Amphibia. She'd ease them into the situation slowly and then tell them she'd have to go back... Despite her hate for the blonde, she couldn't leave her over there... Marcy was probably dead by now, so there was nothing she could do for her. She'd have to break the news to Mr and Mrs Wu. Through letters, of course. She couldn't look them in the eye and say it... They'd know she was the reason for their daughter's death...

The walk back to her home was silent as she kept thinking about everything that happened in the past month, Sasha and the toads, her strange illness she didn't want to cure for some reason, Marcy's betrayal... It was a lot to process. People stopped to take a look at her appearance, some even laughing a bit as she passed. But she paid no attention to their comments and looks, she was set on going to her house and reuniting with her family who she loved dearly... And would most definitely never hurt...

As she made it to her home, she stopped. She had to figure out what she'd say, how she'd say it, and a good explanation for her appearance and absence from home for 5 months. She probably looked really creepy and off standing outside of a house looking like a mix between human and dragon. But after 5 minutes, she finally approached the door and knocked loud enough for someone to hear. She heard her mother say 'Coming, I'm coming.' and took a deep breath as the door slowly opened. Once she came face-to-face with her mother, she waved and said in a quiet voice, "Hi mom..."

Mrs Boonchuy's eyes filled with tears as she dropped what looked like a bowl of pancake batter on the floor and immediately embraced her child. Mr Boonchuy stuck his head around the corner asking if everything was okay to which Anne yelled 'Dad!' and he soon came running up to the hug and embraced her too. Domino meowed and approached, swatting at Anne's tail playfully, "Domino!" She yelled happily as she picked up the cat, hugging her close.

Anne's parents began inspecting her, pulling leaves out of her hair until their gazes landed on her wings and tail. They both raised a brow, looking back into Anne's different colored eyes, her eyes no longer chocolate-colored but her left eye purple and right eye blue, "Anne," Her mother began, "Why do you have wings, a tail, and horns?... And pointy ears that are flopped down?" Anne sighed and asked them to go sit down and she'd explain...

"And so, now I have to find a way back to get Sasha... And Marcy..." Her parents stared at her in shock as she described and explained Amphibia and the current situation, until her dad spoke up, "So your saying, there's a whole world of talking frogs called Amphibiland?" "Amphibia." "Right, but I don't know if I can believe you right now. After all, are you sure you weren't just... I don't know, dreaming it?" Anne rolled her eyes, "Dad, how would I come up with this? My scars, the weird transformation-" Her mother interrupted, "I've been meaning to ask about this look... What are you supposed to be?"

Anne felt like she was about to snap but kept her cool. With a calm tone, she replied, "I believe I'm some form of dragon... With feathers. And trust me, I don't know how this happened-" As soon as she picked up the marker, ice grew around it and she began to panic slightly, smashing the ice but it regrew. She set it down gently and looked back up at her parents who were freaked out about this, "Well... That may explain it... I think I'm an ice dragon."

Her dad immediately stood up and went to lock the door, putting the chain up before approaching her again with worry in his eyes, "Anne... I hope you realize that if people figured out that your wings, tail, horns and ears were real then they'd take you away and treat you as a monster..." Anne's eyes widened slightly as she realized this was true, as people don't react nicely to things that are barely human, "So what does this mean?" Her dad sighed, "You're going to have to stay in the house for the time being until we can find a way to get you back to amphibia... To get Sasha and Marcy.." Anne's mother then stood up and rested her hand on Annes shoulder, giving her a comforting smile as she spoke, "Anne... We promise we'll do everything we can. But for now, try to rest. You've obviously been through a lot." Anne nodded, hugging her parents again before walking over to the stairs. She told them she'd go and take a shower and try to get the leaves and the single twig out of her hair.

Going up the stairs, she couldn't help but feel guilty again. The happiness was drained from her face as she thought back to her explanation... She had lied to them. Marcy was gone, Sasha had been there when it was announced, she destroyed a town that once trusted her... All for some way home... Was it worth it? definitely not. But she was desperate for anything, anyway home... And in the end, it turned her into a monster. Sprig... Polly... Hop-Pop... She was glad they weren't targeted in the attack. As soon as she reached the bathroom, she stopped to look at herself in the mirror. 'Monster... Cannibal...' Her own mind seemed to be shouting at her... 'How can you live with yourself? You are the reason your friend is dead, the reason so many innocent frogs lost their lives.'

Anne's tail lashed as she grew angry, growling at herself as her thoughts kept going. Until eventually she shouted, "SHUT UP!" She took deep breaths and regained her composure, hearing her mother from downstairs ask if everything was okay. She calmly replied, "Yeah! Just thought I was hearing something!" Anne's mother didn't seem to believe her daughter's response but simply said 'Okay' and went back to doing whatever she was doing.

Anne placed her hand on the mirror, the mirror getting foggy around her hand. After a few moments of staring at herself, she heard another voice in her head, one that wasn't hers...
