Third person for a bit <3
~~~"How are you not nervous!?" Monoma questioned, staring blankly out onto the field, "Holy shit I think I'm about to pass out... or be sick... or pass out and be sick!"
Shinso glanced to him with worry before deciding to shake it off, looking back to the field. "I Just don't care if I win or not." The blonde bent over, clutching his stomach with his hand covering his mouth. "Crap, are you seriously gonna be sick!?"
"Trying not to!!!" Neito exclaimed, crouching to the ground before flicking his hair back and head up.
~~~
"Kacchan!" Midoriya called, waving over to the angry blonde with a wind grin. "You're so going to win, Kacchan!!"
"I know that nerd." Bakugo stated, refusing to cast his eyes to the green haired boy who was so desperate to catch his attention. "You better not been looking down on me, stupid Deku - because I swear to All Might I will win this shit and crush you in the process."
Izuku looked at him, a blank expression although the only thing he could think was why on earth he thought he was looking down him? He'd just complimented him for goodness sake!
"Bakubro! Come over here!" Kirishima waved to him from the stalls, beconing the blonde over.
Katsuki glared at Midoriya once more time before turning and moving to sit with his friends."I'm so excited!!" Kaminari exclaimed, barely being able to sit still as his feet swung over the edge of his chair and eyes flickered around every face he could see.
The speakers started up, Present Mics voice being heard of them, "1, 2, 3, testing..." a few students squealed in excitement, seeing Thirteen do a thumbs up towards him. Midnight even had to pause her conversation with All Might in order to tell a group of kids to calm themselves down.
And with that, the sports festival games began.
~~~
I ain't gonna describe the festival I'm sorry 😭 I just really don't see the point as it all happened like it does in the anime
~~~The competition, to most people's surprise was a complete success. By success, I mean nobody died. Although recovery girl would tell you a completely different story if she could find a single second where her lips were free and not kissing some poor students injuries away.
"I can't believe you let the stupid nerd beat you!" Bakugo emphasised, walking over to Shinso with gritted teeth.
"What?" He replied, taking a sip from his drink while keeping his eyes focused on the other boy.
"I mean - come on! - it's only Deku? You couldn't even beat him!?" Katsuki continued, a slightly wicked grin turning into more of a genuine acknowledgment, "You deserved to be stood on that podium instead of him."
Shinso nodded slowly, "I know." His confidence threw Katsuki off a bit until he continued, "Now, Bakugo. Why are you talking to me? I thought you wanted me to leave you alone?"
"Obviously dumbass! I hate you," The blonde shrugged, "I just hate dumb Deku more."
"Okay... then go back to staying away from me as well, thanks..." Hitoshi picked up his stuff, "Congratulations by the way." Then he walked away, questioning everything about the interaction.
'What the fuck is up with him!?' Bakugo thought, watching his purple haired classmate walk away, 'I warn, threaten and mock him and there's a problem, I try to act friendly towards him and there's still a problem... fucking freak!'
~~~
Shinso POV
~~~If I was honest, I would have liked to stand there and have a conversation with the Pomeranian. Tease him a bit, mock him a bit, jokingly flirt with him a bit, insult him a bit - y'know the usual. But it felt so weird. Something about the fact that he had approached me so calmly and didn't start the conversation off with some straight out a film insult made me feel uneasy.
"Hitoshi!" Liv shouted from the sidelines, beconing me over with her hand.
I smiled slightly, turning my direction and focus to her. "I didn't realise you were coming?"
"Well, I was passing by and wanted to see how fucking amazing you are." She joked, playfully pushing my shoulder, before directing both our attention over to Hawks who was talking casually to Tokoyami, "I'm on patrol."
"Holy shit! That's great! You're like a proper hero now?" I asked, slightly confused as to why she hadn't mentioned this previously.
"Yeah I guess. More of a sidekick or a fill in, Endeavour had some interview he couldn't get out of so I'm filling in." She paused a second, turning back to me, "But yeah, it's pretty cool huh?"
"Totally. I'm proud of you by the way."
Her smile melted into a more natural one, eyes squinting as she pulled me closer into a hug, "Shut the fuck up. You killed it out there."
I hugged her back, holding her tightly. I rested my chin on her shoulder, "Thanks short ass."
"Oh shut it." She chuckled, head resting at the top of my chest. "I might not be coming home tonight but tell Aizawa that I have a bed to sleep in and remind Yamada that I'm fine, not having a mental breakdown. Yeah?"
"Sure thing." I pulled away slowly, smiling at her then tilting my head towards Hawks, "Somebody is waiting for you. Think he's ready to leave."
Her eyes glanced back to the winged pro hero then back to me, "You're right. I better go, cya Hitoshi."
"See y'a." I waved her off before going inside the UA building. Bakugo must have passed us by during the time I was talking to Liv because he was already in the changing rooms when I arrived. 'Don't look.' I thought, 'Don't look!' My eyes wandered everywhere but at my classmates as I rapidly searched for something to focus my attention on, 'That wall is really well painted, I can focus on at that... just don't. Don't look.'
~~~
I walked into classroom A, finding it empty aside from Aizawa. Nobody else was going to be coming into class for the rest of the day as Nezu had told us to rest after the competition but I couldn't get home without my ride. Aka Dad. "Did you know that there's a spot on the wall in the changing rooms where the paint is cracked?"
Eraserhead looked at me oddly, then scoffed, "Yes, it's been there since I was in UA."
I couldn't help but laugh, going to sit down on top of my desk as I waited for him to finish up a bit of paperwork. I just wanted to go home to be honest. "We're not training tomorrow, right?"
"Of course not!" He raised his voice in shock, "Hitoshi you need to take a break, we've been training nearly everyday for today and now it's over. I'm not going to have you working too hard for at least a week."
"And are you going to have the same attitude with the class?" I questioned, looking at him with one eyebrow raised. I already knew the honest answer.
"..." he hesitated, "they get a day."
