Shinso pov bc 😘
~~~I woke up in the infirmary, apparently I had been unconscious for only a couple of hours but fucks sake, my shoulder stung unbearably!
It had now been at least five hours since I woke up and Recovery Girl says I should be able to leave that evening, she just wanted to make sure I had plenty of clean bandages and knew how to re-wrap them.
I already did know but she insisted on her showing me anyway.
Knock knock knock.
"Come in!" I shouted, sitting up in the hospital bed of the school infirmary.
Slowly the door opened, revealing Liv on the other side. "Hey... you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine." I nodded, moving my legs towards me so she could sit down on the bed. She instantly sat, looking to my bandages as she made sure I didn't need any fresh ones. "RG just did them, they're clean."
She nodded, oddly quiet compared to usual. "You're an asshole for scaring us like that you know? I swear to All Might you nearly gave me a heart attack!"
I laughed, "It's called being a hero, injuries happen." I took a pause, watching as she rolled her eyes, "Did dad let you in?"
"Nope, Yamada Did." She pulled out her phone, relaxing a bit and leaning into the wall, "Hey do you think we're siblings in every universe?"
"God I fucking hope not." I joked, making her giggle slightly, "Seriously though, where did that question come from?"
"Saw a TikTok earlier where-" She was interrupted by another knock at the door, "You're Mr Popular..."
"Actually its only been dad and papa until now." I admitted. "Which also came with a whole lot of scolding for not listening to them when they said to wait..."
Eventually recovery Girls voice could be heard at the other side of the door, "Shinso dear? You have another visitor! Shall I let him in?"
Liv looked at me with a raised eyebrow, "You got a boyfriend?"
"No..." I admitted, trying to consider the possibilities of who would come and see me now.
"Friends?"
"Haha, very funny..." I said sarcastically before answering, "Yes but I told them not to come."
"Hm." She Saïd, sliding off the bed and standing up, "Well, I can't stay long anyway. I'll leave you and mystery man to it." She said with a playful smirk before leaving the infirmary. "You can go in now." I hear her say, a gentle shock audible in her voice.
Soon the door opens once again, revealing an unlikely sight of the blonde pomeranian. "Hey..." He Saïd, standing awkwardly by the exit once the door had closed.
"Hi.." I replied, confused and struggling to figure out what he was doing here.
"I just wanted to... I just-...."
"Are you stuttering, Bakugo? Do I make you nervous?" I asked, confidence quite quickly coming back with a smirk.
He scoffed, "As if freak!" It seemed to have the same affect on him, instantly allowing his usual self to shine again. "You took a knife to save me and I... I just wanted to say thanks. Although your a total idiot and a dumbass for looking down on me like that! I would have been fine anyway! And-"
"Your welcome, darling."
He gulped, nodding slowly as his eyes rapidly flickered around the room. "I should probably go."
"You don't have to." I reassured, smiling slightly.
He kept quiet, looking at me for a moment. His shoulders relaxed, whole body seeming less tense. A gentle tear welled in the crevice of his eye but he refused to let it out. "Are you okay?" I asked, watching as the water droplet slowly escaped the safety of his eye. Once one fell, he was unable to stop the rest."I'm fine!" He shouted, looking away from me.
"Bakugo... are you... crying?" I questioned, standing up from the bed. I slowly walked closer to him as not to scare him into running out the door.
"HA!?" Katsuki wiped his tears away, "Why the hell would I be crying!? I'm not some weakling!"
I gently reached my hand over to him, wiping away a new tear that had been trying to escape. "I can tell you're not weak. Of course you're not. But allowing yourself to express and release pent up emotions doesn't make you weak and if you ever need an ear to talk to... I can try and not be sarcastic."
"Why should I tell you anything?" He asked with a scoff, "What the fuck makes you think I'd want to talk to you? Why would you care?"
"I don't know." I admitted, "You don't have to... but if you feel like it, I'm uh-... " I thought for a moment looking at the confused across his face, "I'm right here with open arms, happy to listen if you want me to be."
He scrunched his eyes closed, leaning slightly into my touch. "I'm not used to... other people helping me." He admitted hesitantly, "I don't need saving yet for some ridiculous reason I feel grateful for you. Thankful that you were there. I... I feel like I owe you."
I smiled gently, feeling oddly honoured, "You don't owe me anything." I pulled him carefully into a hug like he was the most delicate and precious thing in the world.
To begin with, he tried pushing away but eventually accepted the affection, melting into my arms. The world faded away as I listened to his almost silent sobs, stood so peacefully in the hospital room.
Maybe he wasn't that bad after all? When he acted like a human he actually seemed... good.
ABOUT 15 MINS LATER! ((Bonus))
"Hey, Bakubro! Havé you seen Shinbro?" Kaminari asked, finding the blonde half way down the corridor to class.
"No but Id think the freak is still with Recovery Girl." Katsuki shrugged.
"Oh my All Might..." Denki breathed out a hint of panic to his tone, "Is He Alright!?"
Bakugo looked confused a second, "Not since I've known him."
Kaminari didn't say much more, rushing down the corridor in the direction of the medical wing.
