"Aren't your dads like... married?" Bakugo asked, staring at the illuminated screen of his phone.
"Yeah... why?"
"I just read an article..." He began, reading the first paragraph, "Close friends since they're first year of UA, soon becoming best friends and roommates even into their adult years, pro heroes Eraserhead and Present Mic are the true definition of loyal colleagues. Almost like family, these good pals are the symbol of perfect buddies." He took a pause, glancing up from the phone, "Literally any bullshit idea but husbands."
Shinso shrugged, "The media hates lovers."
He struggled to even act surprised as he had been finding much worse stories for years. To be honest there were theories so outlandish on the internet that he had wondered if he'd be able to convince those people fire-breathing unicorns with mermaid tails were real.
"So what? After 8 years living together and wearing the same wedding bands in all their interviews - literally having two kids and about five cats, they're still labelled as friends!?" Bakugo asked to which he recieved nothing but a nod, "That's fucking bullshit! Just friends don't live like that!"
"Yeah, I know. Why do you think Dadzawa tries to stay out the way of the media and paparazzi? They'll say anything but the truth."
Katsuki scoffed, sitting down beside his love, "If we ever... got to that point... would we tell the world?"
Hitoshi wondered for a moment before admitting, "I'm not sure." He glanced into the blondes lava red eyes, "Would you want to tell them? Because that wouldn't just be Japans news story for a week - it would create a massive internet hyper-fixation."
Bakugo nodded slowly, "Yeah, I realised."
"Got any more questions for me, darling?" Shinso asked with a smile. He adored how Katsuki looked when he was thinking.
He thought for a second before asking the question that had been playing on his mind for a while now, "Why did you never change your surname?"
"I don't know..." Shinso admitted, "Dad and Papa kept their respective names when getting married as to - again - avoid media questions so it was never exactly clear which name I would take."
"But Eri is.. Eri Aizawa?"
"Yeah, Dad adopted her so her name change was just part of the process. They just found me..." He explained as best as he could. "It was less official, I guess."
"Damn." Katsuki breathed out. He wasn't too sure what else he was meant to say in that situation.
But it didn't really matter because no matter what his only response was, "Mhm."
Since their conversation the day prior, Shinso had made it a priority to inform his fathers about his relationship.
Personally, he didn't see the rush however he despised the idea of Bakugo feeling like he didn't WANT to tell them... because he did. He just didn't feel like he needed to until now.

Flashback - evening before
~~~
Shinso walked into the kitchen of their home, glancing between the two pro heroes. How did he start this?
He took a seat at the dining table opposite Aizawa. Mic was washing up some dishes from breakfast that morning.
"Dad, papa..." He said with a sigh. Instantly, both the mens attention was fully set on their son. He continued, "I've started seeing someone..."
"Okay." Aizawa nodded, willing him to continue.
Mic came and sat down beside his husband with a gigantic grin on his face. They had both realised how lovestruck Hitoshi was a few days ago and their suspicions had been confirmed when they found Katsuki Bakugo in his bedroom but it still felt right to allow him to say it.
"He uhh..." Shinso began.
It wasn't that he thought his parents would be against him being in a relationship or the fact it was a boy. (I mean... they were gay too.) But he knew his dads hypocritical opinion towards loud blondes and wasn't quite sure how he was going to react.
Eventually, he continued quickly, "He's Bakugo."
The two pro heroes looked between each other. Hizashi was grinning uncontrollably. Shota just rolled his eyes, "We know."
"Oh..."
Yamada quickly looked to his son and placed a hand over his which was resting on top of the table. "We are so proud of you, kiddo!"
"Of course we are but did you really have to pick the loudest blonde to exist? More than that - the loudest pain in my ass?" Aizawa joked with a groan.
Hitoshi let out a gentle chuckle, pointing to his Papa, "Second loudest blonde." He took a pause, "Papa is also the loudest literal pain in your ass." He smirked teasingly, watching his dad choke on his coffee and papa grin from ear-to-ear as though he was proud about it, before saying, "I guess I get it from you, dad?"
Aizawa smiled genuinely. He still felt a warm sensation of pride whenever Hitoshi referred to him as dad. "I guess you do."
End of flashback
~~~
They sat peacefully together in Bakugos dorm. It was early in the morning (around 7:30-ish) and Hitoshis fathers were at a hero teachers meeting that happened every week before school.
Shinsos head rested against Bakugos shoulder as he attempted to sleep. However upon deciding this attempt was useless, his eyes opened and watched the blondes phone screen out of pure boredom.
"That's pretty." He whispered gently, noticing the crystallised black band ring Katsuki kept going back to look at.
"Yeah."
"Why don't you buy it?" He questioned, head lifting slightly as to now look into the volcanic red, pools of lava.
Bakugo scoffed, "It's £40,000 which is like 8,138,188 yen!"
Shinso nodded, "Shit, really?"
The blonde scrolled down, showing the price listened just below the picture. "It's insa-"
"I thought it would be expensive." Hitoshi interrupted, continuing his words from before.
Katsuki looked at him with utter confusion, "... And I thought I was rich."
Shinso chuckled, reaching into his back pocket to pull out his phone then removed the case on his device. Inside held his own debit card, one of Mics credit cards, a photograph and some cash. He pulled out the bank card (his own), handing it over without another word.
He didn't think twice because god, the whole world seemed beautiful when that boy smiled at him.
Bakugo slowly slipped it from his hands, looking at it back and front then back to Shinso who just nodded. "Fuck I think that's the hottest thing you've ever said to me and you didn't even open your mouth."
Hitoshi grinned, laying his head back on the others padded, blazer shoulder, "Just buy it, I want a nap."
Bakugos hand went straight to purple hair, playing with it gently as to sooth the boy to sleep while his other hand was typing in card details. Something about this felt wrong but nobody could deny how truly beautiful the ring was. It had a multiple gems along its edges which, by the price, anyone could only assume to be diamonds and a small engraving on the inside that could be personalised. "What should it say?" He asked in a hushed voice.
Shinso didn't move, eyes still closed as his lips separated,
". I hate you
🤍 ."
