Donghyuck found out just how good he was at ignoring his problems when Friday arrived and Renjun walked his mom down to Mr Huang's car.

Now they were both left alone again and he had no idea what that meant with the shorter's limited capability despite getting rid of the sling.

Staring at Eunbi who was sitting in his lap with one of her toys in her mouth getting gnawed on the man wondered if he was qualified to be a father at all.

Until then all he had done was rely on either his mom or the older male to keep everything under control if he was overwhelmed with the responsibility of raising a kid, but now he was faced with reality.

"What now?" Renjun asked as soon as he returned and took a seat across from him with a serious expression.

"Huh?"

"What are we going to do now? I'm not capable of taking care of her on my own, at least until I figure out how to do things with one hand."

"I could take her to the office with me and have Mark watch her if you can't, or I can ask Jen to help you out." He said, not really thinking anything about leaving their daughter with someone else.

"I don't want a stranger around my girl so I'll ask Jaemin if he'd be willing to sacrifice a date or two to hang out with us. But I'll ask you for your friend's number if we need a female's help."

"Wait, what?" Donghyuck looked genuinely confused about the mention of a female friend since he doesn't really have any close enough to allow into his apartment.

"Jen?" Renjun asked not understanding the other's reaction until he saw the man double over in laughter at his question.

"Jen as Lee Jeno, the guy your best friend is trying to woo." He watched the older nod before his lips parted with a question ready to be asked.

"I didn't know you were close friends with Jeno. I do remember you guys being in the same class but never knew you were friends."

"We know each other since first grade and grew close playing video games at the arcade. I actually intended to make him move in here after buying this place because he still lives in the same apartment he rented during our university years on the other side of Seoul."

"Right, Jaemin complained about taking ages to reach that place when he would pick Jeno up for their dates." Renjun added as he removed the pink chew toy from their daughter's mouth to replace it with a pacifier.

"I don't think those two would mind spending time here with you two instead of cycling around the city."

Hearing that the shorter broke out in giggles remembering his best friend's slight limp one morning, expecting it to be the result of a wild night and not that of an uncomfortable bicycle seat.

Retelling the story to the other male both couldn't help but laugh at Jaemin's misery, enjoying the light topic of their conversation.

"Jaemin looks like he works out a lot so hearing this is a surprise. Jen only recently bought his fancy bike with the intention to do some cardio that way."

"Mhmm, although I could never convince him to join me on my morning jog. I would bet all my money that he only said yes to cycling to be able to stare at Jeno's ass in those tight cycling shorts."

"Right, you mentioned that you jog. How come I never saw you though?"

"I used to until all my time got consumed by this little bean here." He smiled as he leaned down to blow raspberries on Eunbi's cheeks and tickle her chubby sides to draw out giggles.

Donghyuck just stared at the two with his mother's voice echoing inside his head and wondered how the older could dismiss his hobbies this easily.

"You know, now that she's older and doesn't require that much attention you can take up working out again if your arm allows.

I don't mind getting up a bit earlier to get her changed and then go back to sleep, so you can relax in the morning and do something else."

The male stared up at him with a look of surprise on his face, obviously not expecting something like this from him after these months.

"You'd really do that?"

"Of course. Bibi is growing quickly so we have to enjoy some freedom now before she starts crawling around and will need to be ran after all day."

"That's still weeks away but I appreciate your offer and might take you up on it sooner than you think."

Donghyuck hummed in return before sliding down to the floor beside the little girl and helping her to lay down on his chest, seeing her eyes close slowly as he rocked her to sleep gently.

"I feel like she's going to be spoiled rotten by you." Renjun said as he watched the man completely gone for the toddler brushing her messy strands of hair back.

"What makes you doubt my capability to be the coolest and clingiest dad ever when it comes to my princess?" The cheeky grin that was directed at him made the older feel all mushy inside.

"She really grew on us a lot more than I expected. Maybe her mother knew this would happen and choose us for this reason."

"It's still crazy if I think about it." Donghyuck said before starting to hum as he softly patted Eunbi's back, eyes staring at the white ceiling instead of the other man.

They stayed in the living room like that for a while longer with only the tan male's melodic humming breaking the silence, both still worried about how they would be able to continue without any problem.

It was still a little awkward but at the same time it wasn't, allowing the two to find comfort in each other's company and start over on a new page this time equally sharing the responsibility for their toddler.
