Renjun, the calm and level headed of the two was on the verge to explode and curse the woman in front of him in every language he knew before throwing hands.

~

Two days ago he had gotten a call from this clinic reminding him of Eunbi's next shot and asking him to make an appointment.

Their little girl had gotten a month old five days ago and was steadily gaining weight and length, which was a good sign.

Since the day is nice the two men decided to walk over to the clinic which is about fifteen minutes from their apartment, making time in their schedules to both be present.

It's been nearly half an hour since they've arrived and Renjun took it upon himself to talk to the nurse at the counter and confirm their appointment.

Donghyuck was with their little girl in the meantime hoping that she wouldn't get woken up by some other crying children in the waiting room.

Everything was supposed to go smoothly, give Eunbi's documents to the nurse and wait for their turn after signing some papers about allowing her to get the shot.

It all went okay until the nurse told Renjun to call their mother over since she needed the signature of the newborn's guardian.

Once he explained the woman that he was the father of the girl he should have known something was off with the mumbled comments from the nurse about teen pregnancies.

It didn't help his case that the older woman saw his hands on the counter and didn't find a wedding ring, asking whether he was married to Eunbi's mother.

Mistake number two was not leaving it at a simple no and just bolting out of the clinic looking for a different one.

"If you're not married then the decision making falls on the mother so I need her signature."

When the nurse, clearly already judging the man, asked for the mother's signature Renjun honestly told her that there is no mother and that the girl has two fathers.

This was mistake number three as it turned out that the nurse was a stuck up homophobic old hag who was now determined to keep them outside.

"I need her female guardian to sign then."

"She doesn't have a female guardian ma'am, I just told you she has two fathers."

"A newborn being taken care of my two children without a mother figure is unheard of! I need her grandmother or the female taking care of her to sign."

"Does the fact that I'm one of her legal guardians not mean anything to you? Should I ask her other guardian over so he can sign instead?"

"Unless her female guardian is here accompanying her we can't let her inside." The woman coldly brushed him off and Renjun was already tired of arguing.

"In that case can I have her documents back, please? We'll take her to a different clinic where she can get her vaccine."

"I'm sorry but I can't give them to you, bring her guardian over and I'll hand it to her."

"I am her guardian! You have the documents in front of you, it's there black on white stating that Lee-Huang Eunbi is my daughter!

If you're refusing to let us see the doctor then at least allow us to go to a different place for my daughter's sake!"

"You're causing a commotion and stressing the children! Leave before I call security." The nurse turned away to type on her computer while a few of the mothers gave Renjun questioning looks.
