"What do you mean we're parents?!"~
Four hours prior Renjun received a call from an unknown number and answered before thinking twice.
"Hello?"
"Hello, am I speaking with Mr Lee-Huang Renjun?"
Furrowing his brows and checking the number again he corrected the woman.
"I'm sorry but you must be mistaken, this is Huang Renjun speaking."A murmur and some papers shuffling on the other side of the line was heard before the woman excused herself for the mistake.
"I'm calling you from the law office of Mr Park regarding one of our client's request. Could you confirm whether you are acquainted with a certain Miss Lee Gabi?"
"Gabi? Yes, of course I know her but I don't understand what is going on, I haven't seen her since she moved abroad."
"Yes, we're aware of that fact. Mr Park would like to have a meeting with you in person regarding some things which is why I'm calling you. Could you perhaps come over at five this afternoon?"
"Umm, sure. Send me the address of your office and I'll be there." The man agreed feeling confused about the sudden call.
"Thank you and see you later." With that the call ended and only moment later the message with the address followed.
Renjun leaned back in his chair as he wondered what his childhood friend wanted with a lawyer, and even more curious how he could help.
Gabi's family lived in their neighborhood and so the two kids grew up together, attending the same daycare and all the way till university.
He still has vivid memories of the day when the girl's parents passed away in a horrible accident and she lived with him until she moved to a dorm.
The last time he saw her was when the girl and her boyfriend moved abroad to start anew since neither of them had family to keep them behind, that was right after university graduation.
Excited about meeting his old friend again Renjun resumed his work with renewed motivation.

Donghyuck was running late because of an indecisive client who made him drive around the town from location to location just to ask for more time to make up his mind.
He was already exhausted so this unplanned call to show up at a law office was just the cherry on top of a stressful day.
Heading up to the receptionist he was led to an office that had a nice wooden door, ushered inside after a quick knock and announcement.
"Welcome Mr Lee, please take a seat." And older man greeted him while motioning to a chair beside a vaguely familiar face.
"My name is Park Minsung and I'm the lawyer representing miss Lee Gabi. I was trying to get in touch with the two of you a few days ago but it seems like there was a mistake made on our end which brought us to this.
Mr Huang here told me about his relationship with my client and also confirmed that the two of you are acquainted in some way."
Huang? Renjun? No wonder he looked familiar!
"Ah, yes, we attended the same school. I'm not entirely sure why I'm here to be honest since I wasn't that close to Gabi herself as I was to her fiancé before he passed away."
"Are you talking about Eunhyung? When? How?!" Renjun turned towards him with a questioning look obviously unaware of what had happened.
"Yeah, hyung passed away in early spring from cancer. It was all sudden and unexpected since he always took good care of his health."
