Renjun had moved back home after all, not because he wanted but out of pure necessity to keep his dignity at work. After their confessions it seemed like the younger gave up on all sorts of restrictions when it came to keeping his emotions under control and became a kissing-hugging monster.
He felt like living together with a lovesick yet horny teenager who was desperate for skinship and would become dramatic if he was denied of it.
Eunbi was also throwing tantrums and still slept in Donghyuck's room, making him both irritated and sleep deprived from juggling the two's needs.
The decision to move out temporarily fell one morning when he woke up and went to wash up, spotting purple bruises all around his collar bones that definitely weren't there when he fell asleep.
Donghyuck was of course devastated when he heard the older would retreat to his own apartment despite his best efforts to keep it in his pants because of their toddler.
This of course had made the tan male sulk and he gave the older the silent treatment for almost a week despite his visible need to be close.
Unlike Donghyuck wanted to believe, his parents were quite sharp when it came to noticing the smallest changes in the relationship between him and the older.
It was safe to say that both of their mothers knew the two had feelings for one another long before either of them realized, celebrating their kids' unofficial marriage already.
As Eunbi's first birthday was nearing and Mrs Lee took it upon herself to organize the celebration together with her son Renjun knew he would do best to not interfere.
"Papa!" Her voice called out as he returned from work and came to the younger's apartment already changed into some comfortable sweats.
"Hi princess~" He greeted her with a peck on her cheek before spotting the other male on the balcony and walking over immediately.
"Since when did you take up smoking again?" Donghyuck whirled around with the speed of light as he heard the voice, hiding the electric vape behind his back.
Seeing as it was only Renjun and not his mother he let out a sigh, the smell of strawberry and mango hitting the older at once.
"Don't ask. Mom's being too much and with you keeping your distance as well I can't deal with the stress unless I either drink or use this. It's nicotine free though so don't worry about Bibi."
The older sighed as he pushed himself away from the wall and went over to embrace his boyfriend, noticing how the taller immediately slumped against him.
"I know that you wouldn't do anything that'd harm her but you shouldn't keep it all in either when you know that I'm here.
You do realize that it was you who has been pushing me away and not the other way around, right?
Me moving back home temporarily was just because it was becoming too overwhelming for me and I needed some space to sort out my emotions.
This doesn't mean that my feelings have changed, but us confessing made me realize that this would be it, that my future would be here by your side and it scared me for a moment."
Donghyuck wrapped his arms around the shorter as he quietly listened to him pour his heart out, losing all of his previous will to stay upset with him.
"I've been independent for such a long time that even though I started considering this apartment my home realizing that I'd have to leave my place for good was a hard pill to swallow."
"You know that we can easily afford that place as well and you don't have to sell it, right? It would even be convenient having it when your parents visit so they could sleep over there.
