The sound of the water flowing in the stream in the middle of the woods was slightly loud and tranquil.

Princess Y/N crouched down near its banks, dripping down her right hand into the cold water. It was so chilled, blood numbing cold but it sent sensations of purification into her veins.

Gathering some water into her palms, the princess splashed the cold water onto her face, for a second her breath stopped. Y/N shook her head slightly due to how cold the water felt but then some giggles were leaving her now red lips.

Her nose tip went rosy pink along with her cheeks.

Jiyeon, who was filling their bamboo water container from the clear stream, glanced at her cousin.

"Why do I feel like you want to take a bath in it??" Jiyeon smiled asking her, looking back at the container which was almost full.

"I wish I could. I really want to." Y/N mumbled, looking up at the tall green trees, the gray cloudy sky, she closed her eyes. That serene sound of the stream was now so clear, the light cold breeze was brushing against her skin.

Without drinking the water, she could just feel its taste and the sensations.
Y/N looked around only to see themselves alone in the woods.

There was no one in far distance.

"Can I really take the risk to bathe in it? I really want to?" She let her urge out into words, while looking at the water desperately. Dripping her hands into it, moving them with the waves.

Jiyeon laughed. "Sure, go crazy but don't bite my ears off later when someone sees you naked here." Y/N rolled her eyes before chuckling.

The temptation is still so strong though. The princess for once wants to try it someday, taking a bath in a small river or stream in the middle of the woods, with no fear of someone watching her. And where she is alone just basking in pure nature.

Y/N and Jiyeon now sat on a rock near the stream with a forest map in the princess's hands.

"This narrow stream flowing through the woods, here we are right now."
Y/N traces it on the map with her finger. The map sheet was slightly thick and yellowish.

Every pair was given one map for the hunt. It was a handmade map of the Endrake forest showing the woods, some small hills, a long river flowing through the middle of it, and very few streams were drawn in it as well. There were brown pathways shown in it. And also some places were marked with red where the listed flowers could be found.

"We should head towards the northwest." Y/N mutters and Jiyeon nodded looking over the map.

"Before we continue our journey please let me have some rest. My knees are so close to giving up." Jiyeon whined, going on her palms and knees before slowly lying flat on the grass. She took a deep breath, finally feeling some relief in her joints.

"I wonder if you were to do the hunt alone then you might be sleeping off the day in a cave." Y/N chuckled, taking a book out from the pouch tied on her waist near her royal sword.

Though they were told not to cross the river and stay in the west areas because this was safe from the wild animals yet the first rule of the forest is danger can come in any form so carrying weapons is certainly a must.

"I can't argue on that. I'll be a bear for the day." Jiyeon giggled at herself.

The princess smiled a little, flipping the pages of the old book carefully. It has all the details of the existing flowers in the world that are discovered till now.
