A Second Chance

Chapter 24

Rory woke up with Logan's arms around her waist, holding her tight so her back was against his chest. "You have no concept of personal space" she teased.

"You want me to move?" Logan asked. He knew she didn't want him to move, but if she was gonna make fun of him then he was gonna have some fun too.

"No" Rory put her arms over his. Logan chuckled and kissed her cheek. "What time is it?"

"Almost 7" Logan said. He started to move his arm from under Rory but she grabbed his hand.

"Where do you think you're going?"

"My arm's asleep, Ace, it hurts. I gotta move it" Logan said. He moved to lay on his back and Rory moved so that her head was on his chest.

"Were you not just complaining about personal space?" He teased. He in no way wanted Rory to move but if she was gonna make fun of him then he was gonna tease her too.

"Fine, I'll move" Rory said.

Logan wrapped his arms tight around her before she could even try to move. "Don't you dare"

Rory laughed and Logan kissed the top of her head. Over the next half hour, all three triplets joined them.

"What are you doing?" Rory asked the triplets who were jumping on the bed.

"Jump jump" Ryan giggled.

"Yeah, enjoy it now" Logan chuckled. The babies were in and on Rory and Logan's bed a lot wether they ended up sleeping in there or just hanging out as a family, having a lazy morning on a weekend but one non negotiable rule they had was no jumping on the beds. "As soon as we get home this is over"

"Mama" Julie sat down in Rory's lap.

"What, princess?" Rory asked

"Eat" Julie said.

"What do you want to eat?" Rory asked. While Julie's reluctance to eat anything other than a handful of particular foods was as frustrating, it did make feeding her pretty simple. For breakfast she was either gonna ask for yogurt or eggs. Both of those options could be prepared in 5 minutes or less.

"Eggy"

"Alright, let's go get you some eggs"

They spent that day on a boat and around noon, Josh decided it was time to have some fun so he pulled out the wakeboard.

When it was Logan's turn, Rory found herself standing by the back of the boat, holding Julie who was very interested in watching Logan. "Who is that?"

"Daddy!"

"What's daddy doing?"

"No" Julie shook her head. Rory chucked. "No! No! No!"

"It's ok, baby" Rory said and brought Julie over to where the rest of the kids were eating watermelon. "Do you want some watermelon?"

"Yucky" Julie shook her head. Had she ever rated watermelon? No. Was she going to? Also no.

"You don't want to taste it?"

"No!"

"Julie, it's yummy" Matthew said.

"Yucky"

Matthew laughed. "She's funny"

"Mama" Ryan said and pointed to Rory's cup.

"You can't have this" Rory said. The cup didn't have alcohol in it but it did contain sprite which Rory didn't think was an appropriate drink choice for a one and a half year old
