One evening in October, Rory and Logan found themselves getting ready for a fundraiser event.
"I hate these stupid parties" Rory said. "Hey, let's all spend our precious time at a party that costs money when they could've just donated that money to the actual cause. I mean, I'm gonna donate anyway so why do I still have to go to this thing?"
Logan chuckled.
"What?" Rory asked.
"Nothing, you're cute" Logan said. "And it'll be fun, you'll see"
"You say that every time and it's never fun"
"I know" Logan said.
"Can you zip me?" Rory asked.
"Well, I'd really rather unzip you but if you insist" Logan zipped the back of Rory's dress closed before kissing her shoulder. "You look gorgeous"
"Thank you"
An hour later, Rory and Logan were sitting at a table with a few other couples, only one of which they knew from a previous event.
"Ace, I'm gonna get a drink, you want anything?"
"Surprise me" Rory said.
"How long have you two been married?" One of the women, Karen asked.
"A little over 3 years" Rory said.
"And do you have children?" Karen asked.
"4"
"Wow" Amanda said. "I did it once, can't imagine it doing it four times"
"I only did it twice" Rory said. "We got a 3 for 1 deal"
"Triplets?" Karen asked. Rory nodded. "How old?"
"They just turned two" Rory said.
"That's a good age" Karen said.
"Yeah"
Later that night Logan asked into his and Rory's bathroom to find Rory struggling to reach the zipper on the back of her dress. "Need some help?"
"Please" Rory sighed. "The kids?"
"All asleep" Logan said and softly kissed Rory's neck as he slowly unzipped her dress and pushed it down to her feet so she could step out of it.
Rory chuckled softly and Logan continued kissing her neck. Rory turned around to catch his lips with hers. She quickly opened the buttons of Logan's shirt so she could push it off his shoulders.
Logan quickly pulled his undershirt over his head before putting his hands on Rory's waist and pulling her close to kiss her again.
"What's wrong?" Logan asked when Rory pulled away.
"Ryan" Rory said breathlessly as she took a step to the side so Ryan couldn't see her.
"What?"
"Ryan" Rory nodded to their bedroom door where Ryan was standing. She grabbed Logan's shirt and quickly put it on.
"Kid's got good timing" Logan sighed. Rory chuckled. "What's wrong, buddy?"
"Mama" Ryan said.
"Come here, baby" Rory said as she picked Ryan up. "Let's go back to bed"
"No"
"Yeah, you need to sleep" Rory said softly. She put Ryan back to bed before going back into hers and Logan's bedroom where Logan was sitting on the side of the bed. "That can't happen"
