"What has been going on with you Natalie?" Elizabeth asked.
Natalie had been blowing her off the past couple days, hanging out with Kevyn and the 'Druggie' kids.
"Nothing," the girl responded, shrugging the girl off, trying to walk away from her.
Elizabeth grabbed the girls arm. "Don't walk away when I'm trying to talk to you!" Elizabeth snapped. "You've been ignoring me and I want to know what I did wrong!"
"You didn't do anything, now let me go," the girl tried to move her arms out of the girls grasp.
"Natalie, I'm sorry for whatever I did-"

"Holy fuck Elizabeth! Drop the fucking bullshit"
The blonde was caught off guard by the use of her full name, letting the girl go.
"Wha-"
"Look. It's just time we've gone our separate ways. We had a good run, but it's over."
"What do you mean!? Natalie what did I do!? What has gotten into you!?"
"Fuck! You just don't get it do you!?"
"Get what!?"
Natalie turned around, moving her arms like crazy to prove her point.
"Look at your house Elizabeth! Look at where you live! Look at where I live! Look at your life and look at my life! I know where and who I'm going to end up being, so let me get there now!"
"Natalie!"
"Just fucking let me get there now!"

"Hey, Travis and I are going to go hunt, so you can stay here and help Tai if you want," Natalie says, looking at the blonde.
Elizabeth scrunches her nose. Travis and Natalie had been spending more time together lately. Elizabeth had tried not to let it bother her, but she couldn't help the jealousy twisting bitterly in her stomach.

"Oh, you and Travis are going again? I thought you and I were going today,"
Natalie shrugged, "He needs to talk to me about something,"
Elizabeth just nodded, Natalie just stared at her, "What?"
"What?"
"You're making the face you make when you're pissed off, so what? Just say it,"
"I'm not pissed off,"
Natalie rolls her eyes, "Yeah, and we didn't crash in the fucking wilderness. What's wrong?"

Elizabeth sighed, "Are you and Travis like... A thing?"
Natalie just scoffed, "Wow."
"What? It was a question."
"Right, because I can't just hangout alone with a guy. I must be fucking him, right?"
"I never said that!" Elizabeth shot up from where she was sitting.
"But that's what everyone's thinking, right? God, I am so fucking sick of everyone assuming shit about me and my fucking life"
"No, I didn't mean it like that. Natalie what has gotten into you?"
Natalie just shakes her head. "To answer your question. No. He's a fucking prick and believe it or not, I don't hook up with every fucking guy I lay eyes on!"
"Natalie-"
"Fucking save it," she hissed walking away.

Elizabeth ran her hands through her hair, sitting back on the floor.
Van walked in, pausing, "Liza, what just happened?"
Elizabeth looked up at the girl, "Van, can I talk to you about something?"
Van sat on the floor, "What's going on?"

Elizabeth looked around, making sure no one else was in earshot.
"Van, I think..."
"It's okay, take your time Liza"
Elizabeth took a deep breath, "Van, I think I like Natalie, like a lot,"
Van just smiled, rubbing the girls shoulder, "Really?"
Elizabeth nods, "I think I have for a while. I just, don't know how to deal with it and if she likes me back. God, listen to me, we are stuck in the fucking wilderness and I'm complaining about my love life like a fucking sitcom."
"Hey, It's okay. Maybe just...Talk to her. I mean, what's the worse that could happen?"
"We stop being friends"

Van laughs, "Please, Natalie has never been mad at you. It's like, she has this soft spot for you Liza. I don't think she has ever said anything bad or mean about you. I think no matter what happens, you guys will be fine."
"Thanks Van"
Van hugged the blonde. "Anytime,"

Natalie and Travis soon came back, empty handed.
"Ouuu" Mari whistled, Natalie glared, clearly unimpressed.
"Shut up" Natalie groans.
"Natalie and Travis sitting in a tree," Laura Lee joins in, Natalie's annoyance increasing by the moment.
"Guys-" Elizabeth begins, only to be interrupted by Natalie.
"Travis and I didn't do anything you assholes," she flips the girls off.

"is this why we don't have any food?" Jackie snaps. "Because you've been too busy running for mayor of pound town?"
"Jackie"
"Uh, go fuck yourself?"
"I guess we shouldn't be surprised. Nat's always down for a good time, right?"
"I can't magically conjure a deer, Jackie. But keep talking shit and I'll find something to shoot"
"Oh wow, you're so tough. I'm not scared of you, Burnout,
"No. You're jealous. Cause you're an uptight, prudish little bitch!"
"Hey!" Taissa yells, pushing Natalie from Jackie. "Knock it off! Both of you!"

"Hey, don't touch her like that," Elizabeth snaps.
Jackie turns around, flipping the girl off.
Natalie sighs, turning around to walk away, blowing off Misty as she tried to talk to her.

"Natalie"
"I'm not in the mood Liza,"
"Natalie!" Elizabeth grabs the girls arm, trying to be as gentle as she could.
Natalie turned around with a huff. "What?"

"Look, I don't know what's been going on-"
"We're stuck in the fucking wilderness Elizabeth. News flash, this isn't a super cool, fun situation to be in, and I'm sorry I'm not like you who pretends everything is okay when it fucking isn't"
"I meant this morning."
Natalie paused, looking at the girl, waiting for her to speak.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you. I genuinely didn't mean Ill intent by it."
Natalie looked down at the ground, fiddling with her rings.
"I-I was just wondering because-"
"Because why?"
Elizabeth bit her tongue, "I just, Travis is a dick, and if you guys were starting to take things down a romantic road, I just don't want to see you get hurt,"

Natalie looked back up at the girl, "I appreciate you looking out for me Lizzie, but you don't have to always try to protect me. I can handle myself."
"I know,"
"But you don't, it's like ever since we've gotten here you've just been like such a little guard dog,"
"Well I'm sorry that I'm just trying to be a good friend, especially when pretty much everyone else here has treated you like shit. You may but on a tough act and act like it doesn't bother you, but I know it does. And you know what?"
"What?"

"The fact that you think after everything we have been through, I would ever make a comment or insinuate that about you makes me think you don't even know me at all. Because I would never, nor have I ever made a comment like that about you."
"Quit with the dramatics-"
"No! You don't get to tell me when to stop feeling my feelings!" Elizabeth began, glaring at Natalie. "I am not your fucking lap dog. I am a human being and I have fucking feelings. Call me a child, but you hurt my feelings. You really fucking hurt my feelings Natalie, what's even worse is that you don't even see that. So fuck you Natalie."

Elizabeth spun around on her heels, making her way back to the cabin, leaving Natalie standing alone, regretting everything.

Elizabeth still hadn't talked to Natalie, ignoring the girl when she asked if they were still going out for the hunt, making her have to go with Travis.
She sat with everyone outside, watching as Travis and Natalie came back with a deer with gnarly looking antlers.
"Finally meat!" someone says as everyone gets up.
"Woah. That thing is gnarly," Van says.
"It's like Freddy Kruger and Bambi had a baby" Akilah cringes.
"I'm not eating that," Javi looks down at it in disgust.

"Guys, relax. Deer's shed their antlers every season. This is normal. Shauna, do the honors?"
Shauna pulls the bag off her shoulder, pulling out the hunting knife.
She slices the deer open, Elizabeth immediately gagging as it's revealed to be covered in maggots. "Oh, what the fuck"
"That normal too coach?" Jackie snaps.

Taissa paces, "We cannot keep fucking doing this, you guys. What happens when winter gets here? We fucking starve to death or freeze? We can't count on getting rescued anymore. All of us know that's not going to happen. We have to save us. That's why I'm going to go find help. I'm leaving in the morning. Come with me if you want to get out of this fucking hellhole."

Taissa walked inside, Elizabeth scoffed, following her inside.

"So what's your fucking plan? You're just going to fucking adventure through the woods forever? Then what? You die?"
"Liza-"
"No. Have you actually thought this through Taissa?"
"Yes Elizabeth! Yes I've thought this through. Come with me."
"What?"
"Come with me Liza. Lets face it, you and I are some of the most logical ones here. We could totally get out of here."

Elizabeth thought for a second.
"I don't know Tai. I can't-"
"Can't leave Natalie? Liza, you have the chance to save her, and everybody else."
Elizabeth took a deep breath, "Look, I'll think about it, okay?"
"Okay"
