𝕽𝖚𝖓 𝕽𝖆𝖇𝖇𝖎𝖙 𝕽𝖚𝖓 -Yellow Jackets

𝓒𝓱𝓪𝓹𝓽𝓮𝓻 𝓣𝔀𝓮𝓷𝓽𝔂 𝓣𝓱𝓻𝓮𝓮

Shauna continue to scream, Elizabeth and Taissa holding her up, trying their best to keep her steady. Everyone went into a frenzy, trying to get things they thought would help. 
They gently moved Shauna to the bed, "Lift your legs," Taissa says. "Misty, what do we do?" 
"Oh my god! Someone please just get it out of me!" Shauna yells.

Shauna continued to scream, Elizabeth held her hand while Taissa rubbed her forehead with a rag.
"Should we boil water? That's something people do, right?" Mari asks. 
"Yeah, yeah that's a good idea," Akilah nods along. 
"We need to make sure things stay as clean as possible for there aren't any infections," Elizabeth looks to the group. 
"Uh, these are contractions right?" Natalie asks, "Should we be timing them or something?" 
Elizabeth nods, "Yeah, that's a good idea Nat. I think the last one was just over a minute," 
"Is that long or short?" 
"Misty! Should we be timing these or not?" 
Misty look horrified, like she was about to throw up.

"Uh, I don't- I don't know. I-I just," 
Elizabeth cursed under her breath. "Okay, I think when they are just regular and this intense, it means she's in actual labor. Like the baby is coming soon," Elizabeth had a million thoughts swarming through her head. Misty was freaking out, while Elizabeth knew some medical things from some classes she took, (Thanks to her parents wanting her to be a Doctor for a couple years) She knew for a fact that she wouldn't be able to this without Misty. 

"Okay, so it should be over soon?" Taissa asks. 
Elizabeth bites her lip, "It doesn't always mean that. Apparently my mother was in labor with me for like two days,"
"Probably why she hates you so much," she hears Mari whisper. 

"No, no, Tai I can't do this for two days." 
"Yes, yes you can. You can fucking do anything," 
"Yes you can do this Shauna. Misty and I are going to help, right Misty?" 
Misty stared at the blonde, terror written all over her face. 
"Hand," Lottie says, walking behind Taissa. "Maybe we can share our hopes with each other?"
"Wilderness! I hope Shauna doesn't die!" Mari yells. 
"What the fuck is wrong with you?" Elizabeth whispers. 
"Why the fuck... Would you say die?" Taissa hissed. 
"Die?" 
"You're not gonna die, you're not going to die Shauna," Elizabeth was quick to try and soothe. Shauna screams, practically crushing Elizabeth's hand. 
"Deep breaths Shauna, you got this," she tried to soothe. 

Elizabeth sat between Misty and Natalie, listening as Misty was trying to pump herself up and giving herself words of encouragement. 
"Keep breathing," she tells Shauna. Misty removes her hands, seeing Shauna's blood all over them. 
"Misty?" Elizabeth whispers, seeing her freakout internally. 
"What's happening?" Shauna asks. "Something feels weird," 
Misty cries as her hands shake, beginning to panic. "Misty? Misty it's okay," 
Misty didn't respond, Elizabeth beginning to freak out a bit, "Misty? Misty!" 
"I can't. I can't do it. I can't do this. I'm sorry, I'm sorry," she gets up, walking away. 

"Misty? What the fuck Misty!"
"Elizabeth you're up," 
"I can't do this without Misty," 
"I'll get Ben," Natalie stands, Elizabeth moves between Shauna's legs, taking deep breaths. 
"Oh shit," Ben says, looking around. "Shauna I'm sorry-" 
"No," Natalie cries. 
"I don't think I can help with this," 
Natalie lets out a cry, making pleading eyes at the coach. "I just pressed play on the video," 

Elizabeth takes a breath, "Okay, okay. Shauna, I am going to do everything I can to make sure everything goes okay, okay?" 
Shauna nods, "Okay Liza," 
"And ignore him Shauna," Natalie begins, "Women have been having babies for millions of years. You're gonna be fine. Lizzie's got this," 
Elizabeth widens her eyes, looking at Natalie. "You do got this Lizzie, you took a bunch of medical classes, you'll be fine," 
"Yeah, yeah, okay," 
"Where's Misty?" Shauna asks.
"Misty's uh, grabbing more rags. Everything is fine. It's just getting a bit messy, that's all," 

"What the fuck are they doing?" Natalie whispers, Elizabeth turns around, "God, I don't know," 
Shauna continues to scream, nothing but screaming echo's through the cabin. 
"Guys, I think it's coming," Elizabeth looks up at everyone. 
Natalie goes to get the crib, Taissa sits beside Elizabeth. Nausea violently tugs at her stomach as she saw what was going on, sharing a concerned look at Taissa. 
"Is that the head?" Taissa asks, "It's so purple," 
"What if it's the placenta?" Akilah asks. 
Elizabeth shakes her head, "No, that usually comes after,"
"What's going on?" Shauna sobs. "Do I keep pushing?" 

"Yes, yes for sure keep pushing Shauna," Elizabeth takes a breath. "Its no big deal, it's just coming out a little backwards, okay? But uh, try not to worry. I'm just, I'm going to touch you again to try to help, okay?" 
Shauna nods and Elizabeth puts her already bloody hands back between her legs, holding back the urge to throw up when she pulls out a purple like sack. 

Elizabeth was beginning to panic, her hands were shaking and she had no idea what to do. 
"Guys, she's losing a lot of blood. I don't know what to do. I-" 
Misty gently moves her out of the way, "I got this," 
"Are you sure?" Elizabeth asks. 
Misty nods, "Yeah, yeah,"
"Please don't let my baby die," Shauna sobs. 
"Okay. Just push Shauna. I know it's hard. I know it hurts. But, you just need to focus and push. You're so close on being on the other side. And then, you get to meet your baby. 
"You got this," Misty adds as her and Shauna begin to breathe together. 

Lottie and her group stood around Shauna, continually chanting "We hear the wilderness and it hears us," 
Natalie looked at Elizabeth, tears streaming down her face. "Come on Shauna, breathe," Natalie gently pleads. 
"Come on Shauna, you got this," Elizabeth rubs her arm. 
"Alright Shauna, it's almost over, keep pushing. I'm palming the head," 
Shauna pushed, losing consciousness.

Shauna jumps awake, Elizabeth looked up from where her head had been resting on Natalie's shoulder. 
"No! No! No! What did you do!? Where is her!? What did you do!?" 
"Shh, Shauna-" Elizabeth stood up, trying to keep her from thrashing. 
Taissa grabs her face, "You lost a lot of blood and you passed out, we thought we lost you," |
"What? Where is he? Why are you lying? Why are you lying? Where is my baby? Tai where is my baby? Where is he?" 
Elizabeth felt the tears burn in her eyes as she grabbed Natalie's hand. 
"I'm sorry Shauna, I'm sorry," Misty says, holding up the wrapped up corpse of Shauna's baby. 
"He didn't make it Shauna," Elizabeth tearfully says. 

"No," Shauna shakes her head, "No, no. No, he was, he was, no he was alive," Shauna grabs the wrapped up corpse, cradling it in her arms. "I held him. I held him Tai, he was alive! He was alive and I held him! I tried to feed him! And I finally fed him and he was crying!" 

Natalie wraps her arms around Elizabeth's waist as she began to cry. 
"I'm so sorry Shauna," Elizabeth whispers. 
"No, no" she sobs. "No! He was crying! I can still hear him crying! He's still crying! I can still hear him crying! He's hungry! Don't you hear him crying!" 

Shauna continued to sob, Natalie grabbed Elizabeth's hand, leading her away and Taissa held the hysteric, sobbing Shauna.
