𝕽𝖚𝖓 𝕽𝖆𝖇𝖇𝖎𝖙 𝕽𝖚𝖓 -Yellow Jackets

𝓒𝓱𝓪𝓹𝓽𝓮𝓻 𝓣𝓱𝓲𝓻𝓽𝓮𝓮𝓷

Elizabeth sat alone, it was getting dark and it was cold, but she didn't care. 
She sat against a tree, a pack of cigarettes in her lap, about seven buds were already beside her and she lit her eighth  one. 
She lit the smoke, inhaling it, enjoying the burning in her throat. 
It had only been a few hours after everything had happened with Laura Lee, Elizabeth was quick to walk away from the group, ignoring everyone's call's for her to come back, but she kept going. She didn't know how long she had been sitting alone, but she knew it had to be at least a few hours.

Elizabeth felt the tears well in her eyes, resting her head against the tree, she lets the tears freely fall down her face. The tears turned into soft cries, those turning into loud, ugly sobs. 
Elizabeth sobbed as she felt all the emotions of everything happening kick in at once. 
Everything was overwhelming and she couldn't breathe. 

Elizabeth put the smoke out on the tree trunk behind her, bringing her knees up to her chest, continuing to sob. 
The cold air stabbed her skin, the girl had only been wearing a tank top and sweatpants. 
Her arms were beginning to feel numb.
Elizabeth re lit her cig, shakily raising it to her lips. 
The toxic feeling in her throats and in her lungs was a comforting feeling. The pain it brought felt good, it felt good when it hurt to breathe. 

"Elizabeth!" 

Elizabeth turned around, seeing Taissa approaching her. 
"What the fuck are you doing? Do you have any idea how worried everybody's been? You could have been killed or attacked by something out here. Do you not remember what just happened to Van" 
Elizabeth didn't respond, taking another deep breath, trying to stop crying now that Taissa had approached her. 
"I know you're sad-" 
"I'm not just sad Tai. I'm fucking angry," 
"Liza-" 
"I don't want to come back yet. And you can't make me" 
"You've been out here for hours, you're shivering. You need to come inside." 
"Tai-" 
"Please, come back. Natalie has been worried sick and your lungs are going to turn black and you're going to freeze if I let you sit out here any longer," 

Elizabeth sighed, Taissa helping her stand up, her legs being a bit numb and shaky. 
The two made their way back, much to Elizabeth's dismay, everyone had been up, waiting for her. 
Natalie practically attacked her with the hug, wrapping her arms around her tightly. 
"God, you're freezing cold Lizzie" 
"I know," 
"You fucking reek," Jackie scrunches her nose in disgust. 
"Thanks Jackie, really means a lot," she replies sarcastically, jumping slightly as she feels Natalie slip her zip up hoodie over her shoulders. 

"Can we go to bed now that the Princess has arrived?" Travis rolls his eyes. 
"Shut the fuck up Travis," Natalie glares. 
"He has a point." Mari begins. "You know, we all went through a traumatizing thing today and you don't see us making a big deal about it and being all dramatic, running away and coming back being all depressed." 
"Laura Lee fucking died Mari" Elizabeth snaps. "She died for us she died after she tried to save us" 
"Yeah, then you go away for fucking hours in the freezing cold, being completely careless," Jackie tilts her head at the girl. 

"Back the fuck off you guys," Natalie snaps. 
"Why? You know this isn't high school anymore Elizabeth," Mari stands up. "It's not all your way all the time. I'm sorry this is ruining your picture perfect fucking life, but we have all gone through worse. So you making a scene is really fucking selfish" 

Elizabeth bit her lip, shaking her head. 
"This is fucking ridiculous," Elizabeth begins. "This is so fucking stupid." 
Everyone stares at her as she laugh slightly. "I'm sorry that me grieving the loss of my friend is upsetting to you. I'm sorry that me having feelings and not being a robot is annoying for you. 
I'm really fucking sorry that I for once in my fucking life am dealing with my own shit instead of comforting you." 

"Look, Liza-" 
"Shut up." Elizabeth glares at Jackie 
"Hey, don't talk to me like-" 
"Oh my god, will you shut up!" 
When Jackie went to speak again,  Elizabeth snapped. "Shut the fuck up. For the love of fucking god, shut up!" 

Everybody stared at Elizabeth as the girl slowly began to crumble in front of their eyes. 
"What do you want me to say? Sorry I'm not being nice anymore? Sorry I'm not being positive anymore? Wake the fuck up you guys. Laura Lee is dead. She is fucking dead! She was the most innocent and probably the best person out of all of us and she still fucking died. She still died you guys. She died trying to save us.  I have tried to stay positive and support all of you, but I can't do it anymore," Elizabeth paused for a moment, taking in a breath as her sobs began to slip back out again, but she desperately tried to keep it together. 
"All this has showed me is that there is no hope left. There isn't. So I'm sorry for being an inconvenience and worrying you guys, I really am. I'm sorry that you all chose to stay up and wait for me while I was crying my eyes out in the forest. And I'm sorry that I am yelling at you guys, I'm just over it, I'm so so over it. So you guys go to bed, I need another smoke," 

Elizabeth walked out of the cabin, leaving all the girls stunned, looking at each other. 
Natalie glared at them, "Nice fucking going Mari. I hope you're fucking happy with yourself," 
Natalie then left the cabin, walking to Elizabeth, who had been on the other side of the deck. 

Elizabeth's shaky hands held the lighter, the smoke hanging in her mouth. 
Elizabeth cursed when the lighter continued to flicker. 
"Son of a bitch" she cried as she slammed it to the ground. 
Natalie slowly sat beside her girlfriend, taking her lighter out of her pocket, passing it to the girl. 

"Here," Natalie says after watching the girl fail to light the smoke again. 
Natalie put the smoke in her mouth, lighting it before passing it to Elizabeth. 
"Thank you," she mumbles. 
"I would ask you if you're okay, but that seems like a stupid question," 
Elizabeth passed the smoke back to Natalie, blowing the smoke out of her mouth. She inched closer to Natalie, resting her head on Natalie's shoulder. 

"I shouldn't of yelled at everyone Nat," 
"Lizzie-" 
"Their going to hate me," 
"No they won't. Not the ones who are worth getting approval from anyway." 
"I'm sorry I kept you up and you were worried," Elizabeth wraps Natalie's hoodie around her tightly. 
Natalie put the smoke out, wrapping her arms around the girl, brining her into her lap. 
Natalie ran her fingers through the girls hair. 
"You can cry if you want Lizzie. I'll hold you and I'll be here for you as long as you need." 

Elizabeth hugged Natalie tightly, letting the tears fall once again. 
True to her words, Natalie held her, whispering soothing things in her ear as her girlfriend began to crack in front of her. 
"I'm here Love, I'm here, don't worry,"
