CHAPTER 11: THE EXPANDING BRIDGE ESCAPE

Juno's POV

It's been an hour I spent on this bridge, I cannot escape. I keep running but the bridge end keeps expanding far away from me. I took a break by lying on this iron bridge and didn't mind if my back hurt, I was very tired.

I shouldn't give up, the nation is still in danger, and without my help, the yellow aura would kill everybody in my nation, I have to be home as soon as possible, they NEED my help!

I stood up and continued running and running as fast as I could.

When will the bridge stop expanding?

The bridge suddenly turned into gold.

There's a river down the bridge, and it turned into a lake due to the bridge expanding. The bridge also becomes very high away from the ground, It's more than a hundred feet down.

Should I jump down or keep running? Which is safer hmmm.

This was even worse if you're not a magic user, you can't manipulate the spell, you just have to keep running and make a move out of this bridge.

I first try to run in the middle of the bridge, maybe there's a secret thing to escape.

It does not work, it still expands far away. I should try the side area of the bridge.

Still doesn't work.

Maybe I should try the zigzag and curve, run in the middle then run in the side, the left side will be first then the right side.

Still doesn't work, why am I thinking this bridge has a secret code or something to escape, it was powered with magic. But I should try, who knows..

I try the:

Middle run then right side run then left side run.

Or Middle run then right side then middle run then left side run.

Or Middle run then left side run then right side run then left side run then middle run.

..

A while later after trying all the running ideas..

None of the running ideas actually worked, it took me 15 ideas but still, none of them really worked. You can't do anything to stop magic when you're not a magic user.

The last hope was, THE JUMPING out of the bridge, there was a 25% percent chance a human could survive from jumping a hundred feet down in the water, and I'm not sure if the water was deep enough, so it was like 15 or something percent of surviving.

I had no choice but to do it.

As I looked down the water, it seemed that the bridge was expanding up in the sky.

AM I STUCK IN AN ILLUSION?

I have to do it, I'm scared but I have to return home ASAP.

This would only take 1 attempt.

Now I moved back to the other side of the bridge and prepared to run back where I was and jump down the bridge.

Okay, I'm ready...

"One, Two, Three!"

I jump down and close my eyes...

I am ready to touch the water any second now..

any seconds now...

Wait, was it too far DOWN!!?

NO.

....

I was covered with so many fears, and it's been one minute since I fell.

It's more than a hundred feet????

My body is like heating and could build a fire any second.

Luckily I did not heat up, but..

I have been falling for 5 minutes now.

How's that possible, the lake was visible in my vision when I was on the bridge.

Is the bridge also expanding up in the air?

I was about to lose my mind when suddenly...

I touched the water and successfully reached the ground.

The force of the water knocked me unconscious on impact.

I am drowning. Will I die?
