(14) Take Away

HAILEY'S POV

Lilia and I kept in touch this past view days. I gotta say, we're closer than ever. It was awesome because I've learned new things about her. And the best part is she didn't mention Nadine. Not even once. It was like our first hangout, just the two of us.

I found out that she likes to play horror games, and when I stumbled across one on my tiktok just this hour, I sent it to her. It's called Dead By Daylight. It's a multi-player game. With this game, we can spend some quality time together.

She hasn't replied to my messages yet. But it's probably because she's busy. So, I decided to give the game a try. I created an account and played it.

When I finished one round, I could confidently say that the mechanics was pretty easy to follow. Maybe I could even teach Lilia some pointers.

I went to instagram to see if she had already replied. She hasn't yet. But she does have a story, though. Two of them. I viewed the first one. It was a reel of her being interviewed. I clicked the full video, and I was proud to say that I already knew what was she going to answer in some of them. But the one that really caught my attention was when she was asked who she wanted to play against.

<"Which player are you looking forward to playing against?"

"HVL again, definitely. Van Lith, I don't know if you're ever gonna stumble across this video. But I am going to say that if our teams ever meet on natty, I'll lock in on you."

"If you wanna ask her out on a date, just say that.">

I heard her teammate, I'm assuming it's Chloe, say that Lilia should just ask me out. Lilia didn't respond to that. She just laughed. Way to feed my delusions. But Chloe's right, though. Why can't Lilia ask me out on a date? Because I will say yes in an instant.

I then viewed the second story. I was surprised upon what I saw. It was a picture of her with Nadine. I wish this was a throwback picture, but NO. Nadine was wearing a South Carolina uniform.

I am so infuriated right now. No wonder why Lilia hasn't replied yet because she was with Nadine. It makes sense now.

In all honesty, it wasn't fantastic. It was annoying. Lilia and I were having a great time, and then Nadine came to take it away. I got to get Lilia's attention back to me somehow.
