Hongjoong:

I lost track of time as I waited for Seonghwa to come out. I had some hopes that he would come out and come to me. But, in the end, he didn't. I waited and waited, listening to his breathing over the door. I could tell Seonghwa was sleeping for most of the time. It worried me. It wasn't normal for a mortal to sleep that long. But I was too afraid to leave his door and ask Yunho. At some point, I decided to go inside. I melted into the shadows and reappeared in Seonghwa's room.

Inside was dark, but it was no problem for me. A quick look around the room helped me find Seonghwa. He was peacefully sleeping on his bed. Yet, my guts were telling me something was wrong. I got closer to my sleeping beauty. Then, I noticed them. There were some pills on his bedside table. The label said they were sleeping pills. How many did he take? What if he couldn't wake up due to an overdose? I couldn't take it. I rushed towards Hwa, trying to wake him up. At first, there was no reaction on his side, then, he opened his eyes.

Seonghwa looked me in the eyes, still dazed in his dreams. He didn't understand what was going on. I had to wait for a minute or two before he could come to his senses. Once he woke up fully, Seonghwa took my hands and looked me in the eyes like a madman. There was something different in him. I could see it.

"Hongjoong-ah, I know how to help your brother!" Hwa said.

"What?" I responded, confused.

"I saw it in his memories! I can help him!" Hwa continued.

"Slow down. What are you talking about?"

"I saw Beomjoong's memories in my dreams. There I saw my father and his chants," Hwa said, excited.

"You mean to tell me that you got Beomjoong's memories?" I asked for clarification.

"Yes!"

There was too much to take. All I could think about was Seonghwa's state. Even if he had Beom's memories and learned the chants, Seonghwa's powers were too unstable at the moment. He couldn't use them on my brother. It would be too risky. I had to calm him down before calling Yunho to check his condition. It wasn't easy. Seonghwa was repeating how he needed to help Beomjoong. I also wanted to help my brother, but leaving Seonghwa to do it would be too dangerous.

"Hwa, calm down. Let Yunho check on you first," I told him, ready to call my best friend.

"You don't believe me," Seonghwa said. His voice felt bitter.

"I believe you, but you still can't control your powers," I said, holding his hands firmly.

Seonghwa felt down, but he nodded understandingly. After, I called Yunho. My best friend sent us his hubby. It was alright. Mingi was also a respectable doctor, who could perform a check-up on another mortal like Seonghwa. Well, a spiritually powerful mortal to be exact. Even like that, Mingi was able to do it. In his words, Seonghwa was only a little dehydrated. I rushed to bring water.

Seonghwa:

Hongjoong was all over me, trying to make me stay in bed. If I needed anything, Joong would bring it to me. He was so sweet and caring. But it was a little too much. For me, it was enough knowing he and Wooyoung were recovering and well. However, deep inside I was feeling guilty about Beomjoong's condition. I needed to help him. I could help him. Only if Hongjoong allowed me to do it.

"Hwa, I know you want to help, but you can't control your powers, yet," Joong told me.

"But I can control it!" I argued.

Hongjoong didn't believe me, so I had to prove it to him. I had to use what I had learned from my dreams. So I started chanting in my mind one of the spells my father taught me. At first, nothing happened. Then, a second later, a flame burst in my palm. I could feel the soft tingling of those flames. In that moment I had full control over that flame. I took a peak at Hongjoong. He was observing me.

"See, I can control my power!" I told him, shutting off the fire.

Hongjoong nodded, checking my hand for any burns. I knew there were none. Once we spoke some more, the two of us went to Yunho. Hongjoong insisted on Yunho's approval before we acted. I agreed. Yunho had the final word.

Doctor Jung Yunho made me show him all I had learned in my dream. I showed him my fire and the healing powers. He gave me a half-witered plant to heal. I healed it, but they stayed sceptical. No matter what I did, they wouldn't let me close to Beomjoong. Yunho and Hongjoong told me to stay in bed. Then, Yunho left us.

"Hwa, I know you want to help, but you should rest for now," Joong told me.

First, he told me I couldn't control my powers. After, he told me to rest. All I wanted was to fix what I messed up. But no one would let me do it. I had to use other means in case to do so. I had to use my last resource, the spell I didn't show them. Sleeping spell.

I started chanting the spell in my mind. I had to concentrate in case it affected everyone. As I chanted, I noticed Hongjoong getting sleepy. Soon, Joong laid his head on my bed. Watching his peaceful sleeping face made me feel a little guilty.

"I'm sorry, Joongie," I said, kissing his forehead.

Everyone in the house was sleeping. Unbothered, I went to Beomjoong. In his room, I found Mingi and Yunho. Both of them were sleeping on the floor, holding each other's hands. I passed around them, getting closer to Beomjoong. My guilt felt heavier over my shoulders. I was the reason for this state of his. And I needed to fix it. I had to fix it.

Beomjoong:

I felt something pulling me. Something was trying to pull me away from this darkness. As I thought everything was over, someone was trying to return me. Why? For what reason? This darkness was how I could repay for my sins. I had harmed too many people in my mortal and immortal life. I was a sinner who had to pay. Or so I thought.

Opening my eyes, I was blinded by bright lights. The first thing I saw, was Seonghwa's face. He was smiling at me. One quick look around I noticed a different room. Where was I? It wasn't my shrine. The only way I could leave my shrine was by becoming a mortal. What had happened? I could remember only the bright light caused by Seonghwa's reunion.

"Seonghwa?" I asked.

"Don't move," Seonghwa told me.

The young hunter left my side. He took a couple of steps aside and bent down. I turned my head to see what was going on. Seonghwa was trying to wake up Yunho. Did Seonghwa use the sleeping spell his father had created? Maybe...

"Use the awakening spell," I said, my voice was raspy.

Seonghwa gave me a quick nod, before listening to my instructions. Soon, Yunho and one more mortal woke up. They were disoriented at first. However, Yunho found his way to me. He checked on me. I could see how worried the young doctor was. Seonghwa left us and Yunho tried to ask me some questions.

"Do you know your name?" Yunho asked me.

"Kim Beomjoong," I answered.

He asked me such questions. Once, Yunho made sure I could remember who I was, he explained everything that happened. He only confirmed my suspicions. Seonghwa took my spiritual energy to recover the gap between his soul parts. I couldn't blame him. It was out of his control.

"Hyung!" I heard Hongjoong's voice.

My brother came to see me. His face was twisted with relief and guilt. I smiled at Hongjoong, trying to calm him down. I was ready to cry. In the end, everything was for good. I could finally leave that shrine and be closer to my brother. There was no use of immortality if I couldn't leave that damn place.
