xvii. Bill's garage

The next day, Jade had got a call from Bill saying to come over to his house and meet him at the garage with the rest of the friend group. And bill also explained what they were doing.

Everyone sat in the garage and waited until Jade arrived. When she arrived and everyone was, Mike closed the garage and the eight teenagers sat in the dark and the only light was a projector facing the wall. Jade sat with Beverly and Eddie and Richie were in front of them, sitting on the floor.

Bill had put up a poster of a map of Derry's sewer system. Ben handed a small photo of old Derry to Bill and he put it into the projector. "Okay look" Bill pointed at the poster. "That's where Georgie disappeared". 'Storm drain' was written on the poster. He then pointed to two other places, "there's the iron works. The black spot".

"Everywhere it happens, it's all connected by the sewers". Bill began. "And they all meet up at-

"The well house" Ben cut in.

"It's the house on Neibolt street" Stan said.

"You mean that creepy ass house where all the junkies and hobos like to sleep?".

Eddie took a puff from his inhaler. He was hyperventilating. Jade noticed and put a hand on his shoulder, hoping it would calm him down.

"I hate that place". Richie continued.

"That house gives me the chills". Jade said.

"Yeah. I always feel like it's watching me" Beverly said.

"That's where I saw it". Eddie spoke up. "That's where I saw the clown".

"That's where it lives" bill said. Eddie took another puff from his inhaler. Poor Eddie. This whole thing made him lose his breath.

"I can't imagine anything ever wanting to live there". Stanley said.

Eddie jumped up from the floor. "Can we stop talking about this?". He began. "I-I I can barely breathe. This is summer. We're kids". Eddie now panicked and raised his voice. "I can barely breathe. I'm up here having a fucking asthma attack".

"I'm not doing this". Eddie ripped the map off the wall. Which Bill didn't really like. "What the hell? Put the map back". Eddie shook his head. "Mmm-mmm.

The project started flipping. A picture of Georgie and their dad smiling for a picture while in baseball uniforms appeared on the wall. "What happened?".

The projector flipped to a family photo of them going down a slide most likely in a water park. "What's going on?". Bill said again.

"I got it. Hold on". Mike said. The projector kept flipping through Bills family photos. "Guys" Mike said. The projector flipped to another family photo outside of church. In that photo, Mrs.Denbroughs hair was in her face probably cause of the wind. The projector zoomed into Georgie's happy face.

"Bill?" Stanley said in confusion as to what the hell was going on. The projector kept flipping. It moved away from Georgie's face and to Mrs. Denbroughs face. More photos showed of the wind blowing her hair into her face. The hair then moved and revealed a clowns face. The same face that Jade saw in those Derry books.

"What the fuck?". Eddie screamed. "It's it!". The projector started going crazy.

"What the fuck is that? What the fuck is that?". Richie repeatedly yelled while grabbing onto Eddie's arm. Who was also in fear like the rest of them. "I don't fucking know!". Eddie yelled back. Richie had now grabbed onto both Eddie and Jade. As if they were his shields and were going to protect them.

"Turn it off". Beverly said. "Turn it off!". She yelled. Mike kicked the projector to the ground. The projector still kept going. Even while it was messed up and on the floor. In the photo, the clown had disappeared. The screen went black and then the clown appeared inside Bill's garage. Everyone screamed in fear. And Stanley was right next to it.

"Run Stanley!" Richie yelled and Stanley ran over to the rest of the group. It kept getting dark for a split second and the clown started crawling. Mike fell, then Richie fell behind and so did Bill. Just some like dominoes.

The clown was now in front of Beverly and roared at her. The clown reached out for her and Beverly screamed and covered her face in fear . Jade ran over and grabbed her arm, pulling her away. The guys were able to open garage in the dark and the clown was gone. Jade grabbed onto Beverly's arm and Beverly moved her hands away from her face. The girls walked over to the boys and Beverly put her hand on Ben's shoulder. "Thanks, Ben". She then went over and hugged bill, then Jade.

"It saw us". Eddie began. "It saw us, and it know where we are!".

"It always did" Bill said pretty calmly. "So let's go" he walked past all his friends and outside the garage. All seven of them stood in the front of the garage. "Go. Go where?". Ben asked.

"Neibolt".

"That's where Georgie is".

And that's most likely where Patrick and all the other kids were too...

"After that?". Stanley said

"Yeah it's summer. We should be outside". Jade nodded her head. Finally for once, Richie had said something everyone could agree to.

Bill got pissed. "If you say it's summer one more fucking time!". Bill got on his bike and rode away.
