Jade had woke up bright and early at exactly 7 am. Giving her only a hour to get ready and head to the airport. Which she didn't take long to do. Pretty soon she was downstairs waiting for her parents to give her a ride to the airport.

"Ready to go Jade?". James, her dad said as he came down the stairs. "Yep!". James grabbed the handle of her luggage and took it to the trunk of his car. Alice came outside and they all got into the car and made their way to the airport.

James parked his car out in front of the airport. The small family of three all came out the car. James grabbed her luggage for her. Jade's parents gave her a hug and said their goodbyes and "have fun" and "see you soon!".

Jade gave one last wave to her parents and walked inside the airport, now alone and having to go through the whole airport process just to get to her gate.

Some hours later after sitting on a plane, Jade had finally arrived to her real home. California! She walked outside the California airport to see Carly and her mother Kelly waiting for her. Carly ran over to Jade with open arms and gave her a big hug. A whole year without her best friend, her sister.

"I've missed you so much Jade!". Carly said in excitement. "Me too Carly!". Carly looked at the necklace Jade had. "And whose initial is this?".

"You remember the guy I talked to you over the phone about?".

"Yeah". Carly thought for a second. "Holy shit, you guys are dating!". Jade nodded with a not so happy smile. "Soo, what's his name??" Carly asked as She slightly grabbed the pendant. "Patrick"

"Cute!".

"Come on girls!". Kelly called out. Jade shoved her luggage into the trunk and got into the backseat with Carly. Music blasted as the three girls sang to the music from the top of their lungs. Jade hadn't felt this happy in a while.

They went to a diner. A diner that Jade and Carly absolutely loved. The rush, the rush diner. Yes, an odd named but that diner was incredibly popular. The girls laughed as they shared a milkshake and ate fries.

Later after leaving the diner, they went back to Carly's house and hanged out in her room for the rest of the night. Catching up, eating snacks, watching tv, laughing and doing all the things they loved. This week was going to be great. No curfew. Not having to walk through the depressing streets of Derry. Not being chased around by bullies with your friends. Not having to go into creepy old houses where your friend almost died. Not having to worry or continuously think about your missing boyfriend. None of that. Jade was ready to have some real fun again like old times.
