After everything, life went back to normal. Patrick was back. Victor and Belch are out the hospital and are doing ok. Henry's dead (thank god). And things are good. Bill is still trying to be at peace with Georgie's death. He's getting better too. The losers club had met up and are finally talking about what happened. Especially Beverly...
"I can only remember parts, I thought I was dead. That's what it felt like. I saw us, all of us together back in the cistern, but we were older. Like our parents ages". Beverly explained. "What w-were we all doing there?". "I just remember how we felt. How scared we were. I don't think I can ever forget that...".
Bill grabbed a piece of glass and stood up. "Swear it. Swear, if It isn't dead, if It ever comes back, we'll come back too". Everyone got up. Bill cut his hand with the glass first. Bill then went around, cutting everyone's hand as they winced from the pain.
Everyone held their bleeding hands together as they all stood in a circle. "I gotta go. I hate you". Stanley said looking specifically at Bill. He smiled and everyone started cracking up. "I'll see you later". Stanley left, then Eddie, Mike, Richie and Ben. Just leaving Bill, Beverly and Jade who was about to leave. Jade sighed. "You okay Jade?" Beverly asked.
"Yeah. I just can't believe you're moving to Portland...". "Me neither...". The two girls looked at each other. "Promise you'll visit and send letters?". Jade asked. "Uh yeah, as long as you send some back". The girls laughed. Jade got up from the log, Beverly and Bill also got up. "I gotta go. Love you guys!". She said as she gave them both a big hug, especially Beverly. "Bye Bev, and I'll see you around Bill!".
Jade walked away, processing that her other girl best friend was leaving. Guess she's stuck with those knucklehead boys.
The doorbell rang as Jade's mom went to go answer it. "Hi! You must be Patrick and your parents!". "Please come in, my names Alice!". Patrick's mom, Evelyn smiles at Alice. "I'm Evelyn and this is my husband Ryan!".
"Well I am so glad to finally meet you guys. Dinner's almost ready, we're setting up the table now. Jade, Patrick's here!". Jade came downstairs in just a simple black dress which Patrick admired her in it.
Both Jade and Patrick's parents spent the night talking and getting to know each other. Jade and Patrick got bored really fast. After dinner, Jade and Patrick's dad went to the living room to watch a game while Evelyn helped Alice clean up. Jade grabbed all the dirty dishes from the table and walked over to the kitchen where her mom was at the sink. "Thanks honey". "Is there anything else you need help with?". "No go, hang out with Patrick. Just no funny business ok?". Jade laughed. "Ok mom".
Jade grabbed Patrick's hand and dragged him upstairs. They went into her room and climbed on the roof as they sat and watched the stars in the beautiful night sky. "Sorry for what happened to you..." Jade said and Patrick chuckled. "Don't be sorry for something that wasn't your fault".
"I know. I just feel really bad. I thought you were dead, at first". "Oh I was awake the whole time, I just wanted to see your reaction". Jade hit his shoulder. "You're an ass".
"I know. I just wanted to hear what you'd say. And how you said you never got to tell me you love me". It went silent as they watched the stars.
"Patrick, I love you" Patrick wrapped his arms around her shoulder, pulling her closer to him. "I love you too Jade...".
