I stuffed a spoonful of (favorite breaky food) into my mouth as I listened to Leo ramble in excitement about discovering yet another secret passage in Bunker Nine. Man, this guy talks fast when he's excited, doesn't he?
Guess I'll just nod along and exclaim wherever it seems appropriate.
I glanced around, catching Gracie's eyes. She grinned at me, mouthing, "I think he's started speaking in Spanish."
I stifled a giggle, glancing back at Leo, and sure enough, the idiot boy had switched languages in the middle of his rambling, and was still going on and on without even realizing. Gods, he's so cute- wait, where did that come from?
Just then, a familiar girl with choppy brown hair snuck up behind Leo, placing a slender finger on her lips to shush everyone at the table before covering Leo's eyes. "Guess who?"
"¿Qué?" Leo asked, trying to look around before finally realizing and clearing his throat awkwardly. "Uh, I mean- is it Nyssa?"
"Nope," Jerry giggled. "Not Nyssa."
"Uhhhhhhhhhh...... Y/N?"
"I'm right here, dumbass," I deadpanned, shaking my head at my best friend's idiocy.
"Right, right, sorry, chica- um, Hazel?"
"Why would she even be- ugh, it's me, idiot," Piper sighed, ruffling Leo's brown curls. "I've missed you, dude."
"Yeah, yeah, missed you too, Beauty Queen. How's Shel?"
Piper grinned. "Oh, she's great- and this must be Y/N?" She asked, offering me a handshake, which I gladly took. "Nice to finally meet you in person."
I smiled at her. "You too."
"Well, anyways, I wish I could stay and chat, but I better go check on my siblings and make sure that Scarlett hasn't caused any trouble."
Nico snickered. "You do that, I nearly killed her a week or so ago-"
"WAIT, WHAT-"
"Long story."
Piper sighed as she started to walk away. "Yeah, that just gives me more reason to go check on them- see you guys later-"
We waved her goodbye, and Austin spoke up. "Hey, Y/N, we're going on a hike after this, you should join us, it's a Cabin 7 tradition."
I groaned. "I haaaaaate walking-"
"Y/N, you need to get more fresh air," Will chided gently. "Besides, sunlight is good for a kid of Apollo."
"Ugh, nooo, I'll pass-"
"We have matching tracksuits," Kayla coaxed, holding up a gorgeous, embroidered white hoodie.

I gasped, making grabby hands towards the hoodie. "Gimme, gimme- I'm in-"
Spoiler alert, Will had to carry me on the way back from the hike because my legs gave up.
