I shot awake at the sound of a horn, completely disoriented and confused. This isn't my bedroom... where am I?
I rubbed my eyes, blinking a few times as my brain started up and the day's happenings finally came back into my head. Oh, right...
Just then, Will walked in, now wearing an olive t-shirt and blue jeans. "Oh, you're awake," he smiled, taking off his stethoscope and putting it on a table. "Just in time for dinner. Kayla brought your new shirt, it's on the table next to your bed-"
"Sheesh Will," I groaned, rubbing my head, "one thing at a time, my brain's not working properly yet."
Will laughed. "Go change, and then we'll go to the dining pavilion. You'll be sitting with the Hermes kids though, that's where new undetermined campers sit."
"Yay, food," I stood up, grabbing the folded orange shirt from the table. "Gods, I'm starving, I haven't eaten a thing since breakfast."
"You what? Y/N, that is not healthy."
"Ehh, I skip meals a lot so-"
"Nope, nope," Will crossed his arms, looking at me sternly. "Go change, you're sitting with me and my siblings, and I'm making you eat properly."
"But-"
"Doctor's orders."
I sighed, heading off to the bathroom. "Fine..."
Huh, orange does suit me... wait, a pegasus? Whyyy?
I grumpily poked the pegasus silhouette on my new Camp Half-Blood shirt before leaving the bathroom.
"Oh, you're done- why do you look so grumpy?"
"I got embarrassed by a pegasus earlier this morning, and now I have to wear a shirt with a pegasus on it," I whined. "Like I needed a reminder."
Will blinked. "What?"
"Never mind."
"Um... anyways- let's go," Will walked out of the infirmary.
I followed him. "Is it far?"
"Nah."

"I THOUGHT YOU SAID IT WASN'T FAR," I huffed, trying to keep up with the blond.
"Just a little further, Y/N, come on-"
"YOU'VE BEEN SAYING THAT FOR THE PAST HOUR-"
Will facepalmed. "We haven't even been walking for ten minutes."
"I hate walking," I grumbled.
"Well, we're here," Will steered me to one of the stone tables.
"Oh, thank goodness- KAYLA!!!"
I jumped at the younger girl, knocking her flat to the ground.
Kayla laughed, patting my back. "Whoa, Y/N, chill, you don't wanna crush your new bestie, do you? Alright, get off me-"
I laughed, getting off Kayla and helping her up.
"Alright, everyone, this is Y/N. Y/N, meet my siblings, that's Austin-"
A tall, dark boy about thirteen with his hair braided in cornrows waved at me. "Hey."
"And those are Gracie, Jerry, and Yan," Kayla continued, gesturing to the three younger kids at the table.
"And you've already met Will and Nico, though Nico's not supposed to be here, he's supposed to be at the Hades table-"
Nico shrugged. "Technically, yes. But if I sit alone at my table, strange things happen. Cracks open on the floor. Zombies crawl out and start roaming around. It's a mood disorder. I can't control it. That's what I told Chiron, at least."
"Oh? And is it true?" I asked, grinning.
Nico smiled thinly. "I have a note from my doctor."
Will raised his hand. "I'm his doctor."
I snickered. "And it worked?"
"Chiron decided it wasn't worth arguing about," Nico said. "As long as I sit at a table with other people, like...oh, these guys for instance...the zombies stay away. Everybody's happier."
Will nodded serenely. "It's the strangest thing. Not that Nico would ever misuse his powers to get what he wants."
"Of course not," Nico agreed.
I stifled a laugh. "Uh-huh."
"Well, anyways," Will plopped me down next to Kayla and slid a whole pizza onto my plate. "Finish this."
"What?! I can't eat all that-"
"Yes you can, you're a growing sixteen-year-old, you need your nutrition," Will chided.
"Pizza's not healthy. Kayla, help me-"
Kayla stifled a laugh. "Oh no, don't drag me into this."
"Traitor."
"Just eat it," Will said in a very mom-like tone, sitting beside Nico.
"Ugh fine," I bit into a slice of pizza. "Happy?"
Will gave me a bright smile before putting an arm around Nico, who seemed deep in thought, contemplating his pizza.
"Neeks, is something on your mind?" Will asked gently.
"Well," Nico muttered absent-mindedly, "all this talk about college and everything, I've been thinking, and I think I know what to do?"
Kayla grinned at him. "That's great, Nico, what do you want to do?"
"Well, I think I'll just stay at home and be a house husband or something. I mean, think about it, Will's a doctor, so his work hours would fluctuate a lot, and someone needs to be home to take care of the kids, and my dad's the god of riches, so financially, we'll be fine."
Will blinked, then smiled softly at Nico. "You want us to get married and have kids someday?"
Nico suddenly went red, snapping out of it. "I- uh- I just embarrassed myself big time, didn't I?"
"In the cutest way possible," Gracie giggled.
"I CALL DIBS ON BEING MAID OF HONOR," I yelled happily.
Nico buried his face into Will's shoulder and groaned.
Aww... I feel so single...
