"Just kill me already," Nico whined, his face still buried into Will's shoulder.
"Neeks, no, if you die, who will I marry?"
Nico went bright red and gaped at Will as Austin laughed and high-fived his brother.
"Nice," Kayla fist-bumped Will.
"I call dibs on being Maid of Honor," I said, taking a bite out of my pizza slice.
"But what about me?!"
I grinned at Kayla. "Who said there can't be two Maids of Honor? We can get matching dresses-"
"Yes, and-"
Kayla's excitement was interrupted by a satyr blowing a conch horn at the head table as Chiron raised his arms for attention.
"Campers!" His voice filled the pavilion. "As you may have heard, we have been joined by a new demigod tonight- please welcome Y/N L/N to camp!"
All the other demigods, except for the ones at the Apollo table craned their heads toward an overcrowded table a little away from ours, the banner on the stone table reading 'Cabin 11: Hermes.'
"Uh, guys?" Austin spoke up. "She's here." He pointed at me.
I shot him a death glare for drawing everyone's attention to me, feeling like I wanted to sink into the ground.
Just you wait, mister, I'll wring your neck-
"She's been claimed already?!" A girl from the Tyche table yelped.
Will shook his head. "No, Tracy."
"Then why is she there?" Tracy argued.
I shrugged. "I have a doctor's note."
Nico snorted.
"Isn't that Nico's line?" A guy from the Ares table asked.
"I know," I grinned.
"You know what, I'm not even going to question it."
"Kind of unfair how Will gets to abuse his power as the camp doctor like that," a girl from the Aphrodite cabin spoke up, as her siblings nodded in agreement. "Come on, we all need a chance to get to know the new campers," She winked at me.
Uh oh- I tried not to blush.
Nico was fuming. "Abuse of power, she says- let me at her, Will- I'll show her-"
"Nico, no," Will pulled Nico back into his seat and wrapped an arm around him to stop him from marching over and killing someone, before turning to the Aphrodite girl who spoke. "Scarlett, Y/N got bitten by a Hellhound, and she was planning to skip dinner, I'm keeping an eye on her."
I roll my eyes. "Will, I swear, I'm gonna start calling you mom-"
"Don't give me that sass, young lady. Finish your pizza," Will chided, earning a few giggles from the other campers.
Scarlett shrugged. "Well, she looks fine to me-"
"Yep, I'm gonna kill her-"
"NICO, WAIT-"
