(A/N: For those who don't remember, this is Y/N's third day at camp- go read the previous chapters if you want a refresher lol)
"Why is he here?" Will demanded, gesturing at Leo, who was sitting next to me at the breakfast table.
I rolled my eyes at my brother's overprotectiveness. "Because I said so- also, you have Nico, you can't talk-"
Will scoffed. "That's different-"
"Well, if you can have your boyfriend sit next to you, then I can have my best friend sitting next to me," I said, stabbing at a piece of (whatever breakfast food) with my fork.
"But-" Will sighed. "Fine- just- don't get yourself hurt-"
"I can handle myself, William. Thank you very much," I deadpanned, but I couldn't help but form a little smile.
Stupid Will, making me feel all fuzzy-Just then, Leo whispered, nudging me. "Hey, uh, Princess-"
"Wait, Princess?!" Will raised an eyebrow, looking horrified. "I thought you said that he was your best friend!"
"He is, William, chill," I sighed. "You know what, it's sweet how you're protective over me, but this is a little too much, Will- besides, it's too early, and I don't want this turning into an argument."
Will sighed as well, smiling softly. "Yeah, I guess you're right... sorry, Y/N... I know you can handle yourself, but I can't help it..."
I smiled softly at my brother, before walking off with Leo. Once we were out of earshot, I nudged him. "Hey, you think we can activate the glitter bomb now?"
Leo grinned. "Sure, but we better do a headcount to make sure that everyone's in."
"Alright, let's just talk about random stuff and walk close to the Athena cabin, I don't know how many people are supposed to be in there, so, you do the counting."
"Okay, got it."
We strolled around the boundary of the cabin, chatting amongst ourselves, trying to look casual.
"Everyone's in, Princess."
"Aight, you have the remote control?"
"Yep. Should I set it off now?"
"No, not yet, don't tell me when you set it off, we need genuine reactions of shock so that we don't seem suspicious."
Leo nodded. "Okay-"
"Y/N!!"
"Oh, hey Kayla," I turned and smiled at my sister. "Sup?"
"So, I was thinking- what if your glowy hair has the same healing powers as Rapunzel?"
Leo and I both paused. "Hang on, you have a point..." I muttered. "Maybe?"
"Think you can 'Flower gleam and glow,' Princess?"
I scoffed, smacking Leo on the shoulder. "Oh, shut up-"
Just then, a bang echoed through the muted background noise of conversations, followed by screams and yelps of shock as half of the demigods either jumped or fell off their seats.
"WHAT THE HADES WAS THAT?!"
"OH MY GODS-"
"DUDE- THE ATHENA CABIN-"
Said cabin now had bright pink, glittery windows. The door burst open in a cloud of pink glitter, and a dozen bright pink kids ran out, coughing and sneezing.
(A/N: They look like this-)
"Holy crap, they look like disco balls..." Kayla muttered, still breathing heavily from the earlier startle, but a slight smile formed on her face, and soon, she was laughing along with all the other campers.
I gave Leo a questioning look, and he seemed to understand. He nudged me and mouthed, "Made it extra sticky. Won't come off easily."
I grinned devilishly at him and discreetly took a picture of the glittery Athena kids.
"Okay brats, whoever did this, fess up," Mr D called out, walking up and glaring at the Hermes cabin while Chiron escorted the Athena kids away to get cleaned up. "No one's gonna say anything? Well, you all just earned yourself a week of washing dishes."
The Hermes kids all groaned, trying to protest as Mr D and the harpies shepherded them away.
"I feel bad for them," I muttered, then grinned at Leo. "Not- I'm glad it's not us."
"I know right? So... is this prank thing gonna be a one time only thing, or..."
Leo trailed off as he noticed my devious smirk, before mirroring my smile. "Oh, they don't know what they're in for...."
