"HEY, LEO- WE'RE PLAYING A "WELCOME BACK TO LIFE" PRANK ON JASON," I yelled as I burst into Bunker Nine, tripping over a cat Alex and going down right on top of her, the bottle of 4-in-1 shampoo, conditioner, deodorant and body wash in my hands flying out and smacking Magnus in the head.

Alex yowled, shifting back to her human form and trying to wriggle out from underneath me. "Y/N, MY BONES-"

Leo startled, quickly dropping a greasy face towel over whatever he was working on. "Jeez, you three... the door's huge, and you still can't walk in without hurting yourselves? You guys okay?"

"She's killed me.... Y/N's killed meeee...." Alex groaned dramatically, letting out a fake cough and weakly reaching up to Magnus. "Goodbye, my love....."

And Magnus, being the absolute dork that he is, went bright red. "M-my love?! She.... she just.... she called...."

"Maggie, I'm dying here-"

"YOU'RE DYING?!"

Alex facepalmed as Leo and I giggled. "I give up. Maggie, you have beans for brains. Y/N, help me up."

I snickered, then smacked Leo on the arm. We each grabbed one of Alex's arms, hoisting her up onto her feet.

"Thanks, you two. Now, back to the prank we're playing on Jason. Y/N, tell him."

"Okay, okay," I giggled, turning to face Leo. "Alright, we're mixing neon pink glow-in-the-dark hair dye into Jason's..... whatever the hell this abomination is."

Magnus holds up the 4-in-1 bottle of abomination potion.

Leo raised a brow. "That doesn't look like much of an abomination to me."

Alex scoffed, crossing her arms. "Of course it doesn't. You look like you haven't seen a shower in years."

Leo's jaw dropped in dramatic indignation. "EXcuse me, I showered this morning."

"Well, Alex is right. You don't look it," I chided, sticking my hand into Leo's toolbelt and pulling out a pack of wet wipes.

"Ayo, girl, did you just stick your hand into his belt?" Alex asked incredulously, covering her mouth. "How many times have you done that before?"

Leo and Magnus both went bright red as I rolled my eyes, pulled out a single wipe from the pack, and chucked the rest of it at Alex's face. "Shut up, Chia Pet."

"Ow- you did NOT-"

"Did too, girl. Watcha gonna do?"

"Okay, okay," Magnus stepped between us, putting his life at great risk as he waved his hands around awkwardly, his face still bright red. "Alex, why don't we- uh- go look around? This place looks interesting...."

Alex childishly stuck her tongue out at me before grabbing Magnus' arm and dragging him off.

I flipped her off before turning back to Leo, grabbing his chin and wiping the soot, ash, grease, and gods-know-what off his face. "You sure you took a shower this morning? All this gunk was on your face."

Leo took one look at the wipe and scrunched up his nose. "Yuck."

"Exactly." I dropped the wipe into one of the piles of mess on the floor, before suddenly realizing how close Leo and I were.

The realization seemed to strike him as well and his face flushed slightly, the corner of his lips twitching up into a sly smirk. "You know, Princess.... last time we were this close, we kissed.... and I don't think I'll mind doing that again...."

I scoffed, fighting back the blush that was threatening to bloom on my face. "Psh, you're just talk, Valdez."

I turned to leave, but he suddenly grabbed my waist, turning me around and pushing me onto the couch, my back slamming against the cushions, my eyes meeting Leo's as he hovered over me, his hands on either side of my shoulders. "Still think I'm all talk, Princess....?

WHOA- when did he get so bold?!

Okay, Y/N, focus- this idiot CAN'T get the upper hand. No way.

Not today, Fire Hazard.

I flipped us over, pinning him down to the couch instead as I leaned forward, letting my lips ghost over his. "Yep... all bark, no bite. Don't test me, Valdez."

I pushed off and got up, leaving him spluttering and blushing on the couch. "I'm gonna go mix the hair dye into Jason's abomination potion. See ya."

I turned, coming face to face with a scandalized Alex and a red Magnus. "O-oh.... heeeeeey, you two...."

"I KNEW IT!!!"
