As Rosalinda and I pulled into the parking lot, I spied Herc already inside the café. I motioned to Rosalinda before entering, not bothering to see if she'd follow. As she had no choice, and she didn't want to be fired. I scanned the tables for him and found Herc drinking from a mug, away from everyone. I sat down to his right and reached for his cup, but he moved it out of my reach.
"Why didn't you get me one, babe?" I fake pouted to make him feel guilty.
"You don't like coffee..." He eyed me with amusement.
"They have tea and other drinks..." I whined as Rosalinda sat in front of Herc.
"Be right back..and behave," He leaned down to whisper in my ear before heading to the counter.
As we waited for Herc I refused to say a word to Rosalinda, thankfully a text drew my attention. I checked my phone to see it was a group text from my parents.
