"I can't believe this." You grumbled as you climbed into bed next to Taylor. "Another day where our daughter decides not to come."
Taylor set her phone down and turned onto her side to face you.
Reaching over, she gently caressed your cheek before moving her hand down to rub your bump.
"I know, darling. I guess she's just cozy in there." She smiled.
"Well, she would be just as cozy out here. In her little crib, in the clothes we've bought for her, in our arms. She'd be cozy here!"
Taylor laughed before kissing your cheek softly.
"I don't know what to say, my love. When we went to the doctor's a few days ago, they said everything was fine and it was normal to be late. You're just a few days overdue, not too much."
"Yeah, yet. She might spend weeks in here."
"I think the doctor would do something about getting her out before it hit weeks." She said as she leaned down to kiss your bump. "But I can see that you're tired."
"I am. Being pregnant isn't easy, Tay,"
"I know." She said before biting her lip. "How about we try to get her out ourselves? I can look up ways."
"Please do."
Taylor grabbed her phone and searched for ways to start labor on your own.
"Okay, I see acupuncture."
"Nope, not happening." You quickly said, bringing a smile to Taylor's face.
"Understandable. How about spicy food?"
"I'm not hungry."
She sighed before reading one other thing and looking at you with a gleam in her blue eyes.
"Okay. I see one other way." She said as she put her phone down.
You raised your eyebrows at her and went to ask her how when, suddenly, her lips brushed against your neck.
But not just any part of your neck.
Right on that spot that always makes you weak in the knees.
The one that makes your heart hammer against your chest, causes the desire to rush through your veins and makes you turn into putty in her hands.
A soft sigh left your lips as she continued to kiss your skin, her fingertips trailing down your body to brush along your hips just as softly as her lips brushed against your skin.
You felt so blissful, every kiss and every touch was like heaven.
But then, you felt something that caught you off guard.
It was so different from the bliss that had been rushing over you before.
It was painful.
"Tay?" You spoke and she pulled away when she heard the worried tone in your voice.
"Are you okay, darling?"
"Yeah. I just felt something." You said and her blue eyes sparkled in response.
"Something as in the baby coming?"
It came again.
The sharp feeling in your stomach, almost like a period cramp.
But you knew it was going to get worse; much worse.
"Yeah. Taylor, the baby is coming." You said and she smiled from ear to ear before getting up.
"Well, at least we got things started." She grinned. "I had a feeling that one would work best out of all of them."
You shook your head with a chuckle.
"Can you just get ready? Before the baby decides to just come right out here in the house instead of the hospital?" You joked.
"I think we have some time before that happens, my love. But yes, let's get ready." She said before kissing your lips. "Let's get ready to meet our daughter."
"At last."
