With Taylor's hand wrapped in yours, you began to walk away from the parked car and to the restaurant down the block.
You and Taylor decided to go out and have a nice meal after waiting a couple of days for things to calm down a little as the media was going insane over the announcement of you having a baby together.
You both knew things were going to be crazy before you even made the announcement on her Instagram but it was even crazier than either of you imagined.
Three days later it's still a trending topic on Twitter, the media is still posting it across every website, and people have been posting about it nonstop over social media.
But you were tired of staying inside, especially when you and Taylor were happier than ever and could finally show the world that you were pregnant.
No more wearing baggy clothes, worrying that people would catch you both going to the doctor's office so often, no more hiding your excitement when you pass by baby stores and see something cute and no more talking very quietly when you're out and just want to talk about the baby.
You didn't have a thing to hide anymore.
That was especially good since your bump is getting bigger each day and has become harder to hide, even with baggy clothes.
As you and Taylor talked and made your way to the restaurant, there were some screams from nearby, followed by excited fans and camera flashes as fans and paparazzi rushed to you and Taylor.
"Oh, great," She groaned. "I knew this was bound to happen. Just keep holding my hand."
You nodded and continued to try and talk with Taylor to block out the loud chatter and camera flashes.
But it was hard to do when it was so loud.
"Y/N, Taylor, how's the baby?"
"Do you know what you're having yet?"
"Do you have any names picked out?"
The paparazzi asked while the fans just tried to reach out and touch Taylor's hands or your bump, which Taylor was not happy about.
"Please keep your hands to yourself. Don't touch her bump, okay?" Taylor asked as politely as she could, even trying to smile at the fans afterward so they didn't think she was angry with them.
Though, she was annoyed, and understandably so.
"Do you want a boy or girl?" Another paparazzi asked.
"We don't mind either way. We'll be happy. We just want a healthy baby." You replied and Taylor nodded in agreement as she squeezed your hand.
"Taylor, are you excited to be a mom?" A fan asked.
"We can't wait to see pictures of the baby!"
"Thank you for giving us a little glimpse of your life. We're so happy for you!"
The fans' kind words brought a bright smile to both of your faces.
"We're both very excited to be moms and thank you for being so nice!" Taylor grinned before opening the door to the restaurant.
She turned and waved to the fans as you stepped inside and the door closed as she followed you in, leaving the fans excitedly talking to each other as the paparazzi continued to try and take pictures and videos of you both inside the restaurant.
"They're still out there." Taylor sighed as you sat down at a table, sliding into the booth together.
"Yeah, but that's to be expected. We knew it would be crazy."
"You're right." She said as she kissed your cheek softly and then put her hand on your bump as you opened the menu in front of you. "I love you both so much."
"We love you even more, Tay," You smiled and set your head on her shoulder.
Things would be pretty chaotic for quite some time but it felt nice to still be able to be open about everything.
You and Taylor deserved to be able to show off to the world that you were so incredibly happy and more than ready to embark on this journey together and despite all of this chaos, you were still over the moon about everything and wouldn't change anything for the world.
