Aki's vision was blurred from exhaustion and blood loss. The man who stopped General Shinomiya was tall, with a lean yet muscular build. His hair was predominantly black, with the front section dyed grey, giving it a two-toned look. His sharp red eyes glinted with defiance.

"Mr. Isao, what are you doing with this pretty girl?" the man demanded.
General Isao Shinomiya, seeming accustomed to the young man's informalities, replied, "Narumi, what are you doing here?"
The man removed his mask, revealing the unmistakable face of Gen Narumi, the strongest in the Defense Force and the captain of Division 1. Gen, with a smirk, childishly replied, "Hey, I asked the question first."
Shinomiya, clearly irritated, lowered his wooden katana. "Gen, I do not need to explain things to you. Go back to Division 1."
Gen, unperturbed, retorted, "Why would I go back there when you are about to hurt this pretty girl?"
Aki, now barely conscious, could neither hear nor see what was happening.
Silence followed as Gen stared at General Isao Shinomiya, waiting for him to leave. Losing patience, Shinomiya, along with the other two generals, exited the training grounds with a warning, "We will be back."
Gen sighed in relief and turned to Aki, ready to boast about his heroics on social media. But his words caught in his throat when he saw Aki unconscious.

Hoshina sprinted to Aki's side, ignoring Gen completely. He gently lifted her and rushed her to the medics.
Irritated, Gen asked Ashiro, "What's up with him?"
Ashiro calmly replied, "Don't ask. Anyway, why are you here?"
Gen answered, "I am here with Hasegawa. We forgot to tell you that we are on our way here because it's urgent. And since Hoshina is currently preoccupied, I guess it's just you, me, and Hasegawa."
Ashiro narrowed her eyes, sensing the gravity of the situation. "What is this urgent matter?"
Gen's face turned serious, an unusual shift from his usual demeanor. "We need to discuss a new development regarding the kaiju attacks. Hasegawa has some critical information that can't wait."
Ashiro nodded, understanding the urgency. "Let's move to the briefing room then. We can discuss it in detail there."
As they headed to the briefing room, Gen cast a worried glance back towards the medical area where Hoshina had taken Aki. He couldn't help but feel a mix of curiosity and concern for the girl who seemed to be at the center of so much attention.
In the briefing room, Hasegawa awaited them with a stack of documents. The atmosphere was tense as they prepared to delve into the pressing issues at hand.
Meanwhile, in the medical area, Hoshina stayed by Aki's side as the medics treated her injuries. He couldn't shake off the image of her struggling against General Isao Shinomiya and the fear in her eyes.
