The next morning, the sunlight streamed through the windows, casting a soft glow over the room. Jordan stirred in Kylian's arms, her eyes swollen from the previous night's tears. She felt a strange sense of calm, as if the storm within her had passed, leaving behind a fragile peace.

Kylian woke up moments later, his eyes meeting Jordan's. He offered her a small, reassuring smile. "Good morning, amour." Jordan managed a weak smile in return. "Good morning." Kylian gently brushed a strand of hair away from her face.

"How are you feeling?" Jordan took a deep breath, her heart still heavy but slightly less burdened. "A little better, I think. It feels... lighter, having told you." Kylian nodded, understanding the weight of unspoken pain. "I'm glad you did. We're in this together, remember?" Jordan nodded, feeling a sense of gratitude for his unwavering support. "I know. Thank you for being here."

Over the next few days, they navigated their grief together, finding solace in each other's company. Kylian took time off from his training, dedicating his days to being with Jordan. One evening they sat together in their cozy living room, watching a movie, the warmth of the fire casting a soft glow around them. Kylian looked at Jordan, his eyes filled with a mixture of determination and tenderness.

"Jordan, I've been thinking..." he said. She looked at him, her brow furrowing slightly. "About what?"

He hesitated, choosing his words carefully. " You know, about moving forward."

Jordan nodded slowly, sensing where he was going. "You mean... about what happened."

Kylian nodded. "Yes. I think... maybe it would be helpful for us to talk to someone. A therapist maybe"

Jordan's heart sank a little at the suggestion. She knew Kylian meant well, but the idea of pouring out her pain to a stranger felt daunting. "I'm not sure if I'm ready for that," she admitted quietly.

He reached for her hand, his touch grounding. "That's okay, I understand. But I want us to find a way to work through this together. I want us to be strong for each other."

She sighed, leaning into his warmth. "I want that too, Kylian."

He smiled softly, his gaze earnest. "How about this then? What if we start having regular check-ins? Just you and me."

Jordan raised an eyebrow, intrigued by his proposal. "Check-ins?"

"Yeah," Kylian explained, his eyes lighting up with a plan forming in his mind. "We set aside time every week maybe Sundays, to talk about how we're feeling, what we're struggling with, and also what's bringing us joy. It's a way for us to stay connected, to support each other."

She considered his suggestion, a small smile tugging at her lips. "That actually sounds nice."

Kylian grinned, relieved to see her open to the idea. "Great. We can make it our time, away from everything else. No distractions, just us."

Jordan nodded thoughtfully. "Okay. Let's try it."

Short but that's fine.
