Jordan had arranged to meet her best friend Jessica for lunch. They hadn't seen each other in a while, and Jordan wanted to catch up and share some news.

They chose a quaint café in Manchester, one of their favorite spots from their university days. Jordan arrived first, taking a seat by the window where she could watch the bustling street outside. She was nervous and excited, knowing that today's conversation would be significant.

As Jessica walked in, her face lit up when she saw Jordan. They hugged tightly, feeling the comfort of their long-standing friendship.

"It's so good to see you!" Jessica exclaimed, sitting down across from Jordan. "You look amazing!"

"Thanks," Jordan replied with a smile. "You too, Jess."

They ordered their usuals. Jessica went for a fresh salad, while Jordan opted for a light pasta dish. As they waited for their food, the conversation flowed easily, catching up on work, family, and life in general.

"So, what brings you to Manchester?" Jessica asked, her eyes twinkling with curiosity. "I know you don't just come here for the weather."

Jordan laughed, taking a sip of her coffee. "I'm visiting my dad, and I had a shoot with Burberry yesterday. But there's something else I need to tell you."

Jessica leaned in, sensing the seriousness in Jordan's tone. "What's up?"

Jordan took a deep breath before speaking. "Kylian and I... we're eloping."

Jessica's eyes widened in surprise, and then a wide smile spread across her face. "Oh my God, Jordan! That's amazing! When? Where?"

"After the trial," Jordan said, grinning. "In Italy. We've decided to do it quietly, just the two of us."

Jessica reached across the table to hold Jordan's hand. "I'm so happy for you. This sounds so perfect, so... you two."

"It feels right," Jordan admitted. "With everything that's happened, we just want to focus on us, on our future."

The rest of the lunch was filled with laughter and light-hearted conversation. Jessica teased Jordan about the romantic getaway in Italy, and they talked about the future—Jordan's plans with Kylian, Jessica's budding relationship, and how they'd always be there for each other, no matter what.

As they finished their meal, Jessica gave Jordan a tight hug. "I'm so excited for you. And I can't wait to hear all about it when you get back."

Jordan smiled, feeling grateful for her friend's unwavering support. "Thank you, Jess. I'm lucky to have you."

As Jordan and Jessica settled into their lunch, Jessica couldn't wait to spill the details of her life, which, as always, was a mix of drama and humor. "Enough about me. How's Trent?" Jordan asked.

"Well," Jessica said, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper, "it turns out, Trent has this little habit of disappearing—literally disappearing for days with no explanation."

Jordan's eyes widened in disbelief. "You're kidding. What did he say when he finally showed up?"

Jessica shook her head, a wry smile on her face. "He always had some excuse—'I had a long training and I was tired ,' or 'I needed to clear my head before the next big game.' But after the third time, I started to realize something wasn't right."

Jordan could sense there was more to the story. "So, what happened? Did you confront him?"

Jessica nodded, her expression becoming more serious. "I did. I told him straight up that this disappearing act wasn't okay, and that I needed someone who was going to be present and honest. He tried to charm his way out of it, but I wasn't falling for it."
