"I heard you went out on a date with Milli yesterday, totoo ba?" bungad na tanong agad sa akin ni Caitlin habang ibinababa niya ang mga gamit niya bago umupo sa harap ko.

"You heard from?" clueless kong tanong bago ko sana siya sagutin.

She rolled her eyes and groan. "I asked first."

Mula sa pagkakasandal ko ay umayos ako ng upo. I even placed both of my hands on the table. "Yes, I went out on a date with her. Happy?"

Hindi ko mabasa ang mga mata niya nang tumingin ito sa akin. I looked away.. Why do I keep on avoiding her gaze?

"I heard it directly from Milli. She couldn't stop talking about you."

I pursed my lips and nodded. "You heard it na pala sa kanya, bakit ka pa nagtanong?"

Inirapan niya lang ako bago ito nagbukas ng isang libro. "Malay ko kung OA lang siya magkwento?"

I shrugged. "Hmm.. Milli's really nice."

"Can we not talk about her? Or what's going on with you two? Magbabasa na lang ako."

"Why so grumpy? Have you eaten anything yet?"

She flipped a page and shook her head once. Kaya naman pala wala sa mood.

"I'll be right back, Cait." I stood up and stretched out a bit.

She immediately closed her book. "Wait.." she even stuttered. "Saan ka pupunta?"

I gave her a smile. "I'm just going to buy us lunch. From now on, we're having lunch together here. Got that?"

Matagal niya akong tinitigan bago ito dahan-dahang tumango. I thought she blushed.. Hindi naman ako sigurado kung dahil ba sa araw na tumatama sa pwesto namin or what.

Iniwan ko naman agad muna siya para makapagbasa ito bago kami kumain. I was walking towards the cafeteria when I bumped into Milli.

"Are you having lunch?" tanong ko sakanya.

"Yeah. I'm going to meet Samantha and eat outside. I'll come back before the training starts. Will that be fine with you?"

Kahit kunot ang noo ko ay tumango ako. "Of course, it's totally fine."

Bakit naman niya kailangang tanungin kung okay lang ba sa akin? We're not even exclusively dating. We only dated once.

"And you're not checking your phone. I texted you earlier, Bei." she pointed out.

"Oh, that? Sorry, Mills, I really don't do texts or chats."

Sumimangot ito sa sinabi ko. "Can't you compromise for me?"

I sighed. I checked on my watch and I've been away for almost ten minutes. "Okay, Milli.. I'll try. What time are you meeting Sam.. Samantha, is that right?"
