Carina moves around her apartment with ease, having started to feel a little more relaxed over the last few days. There have been no more calls to either her phone or the station thankfully, which has definitely helped her feel a little less on edge.
Walking into the kitchen Carina stirs the pasta on the stove as it cooks and sips her wine, when the chiming of her phone grabs her attention, picking it up, she sees her brother's name on the screen. "Ciao Andrea." She answers with a smile.
"Hey, how are you? I just wanted to check in... Have you told the cops about the weird calls yet?" He asks.
Carina rolls her eyes. "No, and I'm not going to. I know I was freaked out but I think it was all in my head, just a stupid run of the mill prank at the wrong time, or it really was a pap or reporter trying to get me to say something by freaking me out." She says.
Andrew sighs. "Carina, you don't know that." He says.
"Look I appreciate you checking in, and coming over that night, but honestly if this happened a few weeks ago, I wouldn't have reacted like that. It wouldn't have caused me to panic." She says.
"Hmm. Well you know I think you should still tell the cops right?" He says.
Carina nods. "Si, I do. And I appreciate your concern, but right now I need to eat dinner and then I am meeting Amelia for drinks..." She trails off.
"Fine, I can take a hint." He chuckles. "But Carina, promise me. If you get any more weird calls you will report it." He says seriously.
Carina rolls her eyes. "Yes fratellino (baby brother), I promise." She says with a smile before she hangs up. She places her phone down before plating up her dinner, and sitting at the Island to eat, she smiles at the protective nature of her brother, before shaking her head at the idea it was actually a threat.

Across the street on the rooftop, standing in the chill of the evening shrouded in darkness, face obscured by a large hood, stood a figure watching Carina's every move through her large windows. The mystery figure picks up a camera, snapping some shots, pausing to use the zoom lens to watch her in real time. A sinister smile on his lips.
He watches on as Carina finishes her dinner, before disappearing into her bedroom, noting with interest when she comes back into view she is not in a robe or lounge clothes as he expected. Instead she is dressed up, clearly ready to leave.
"And where exactly are you headed this evening?" He whispers to himself in a chilling tone, continuing to watch Carina through the long lens of the Camera as she checks her makeup a final time before heading out of her apartment.
The figure on the rooftop packs up the camera and places it in a backpack moving off the roof and climbing down the fire escape, hiding in the shadows across from Carina's building. Eyes trained on the doors, he sees her emerge, watching patiently as she smiles at the doorman to her building in greeting before making her way down the street.
He waits a few seconds before moving slowly from the shadows, remaining on the opposite side of the street as he walks slowly, eyes never leaving Carina. She pulls out her phone tapping away on it as she walks, occasionally looking up to check where she is walking, remaining completely unaware of her audience.
Less than 10 minutes of walking and Carina stops outside a bar, before pulling open the door and walking in. The figure growls in anger seeing her enter the well known gay bar. "So it's true. You really are one of them. A Sinner." He seethes, eyes narrowed and his teeth clenched, as he balls his fists tightly before turning and taking long determined steps away.
