Soohee
The classroom was buzzing with anticipation as students prepared for their presentations. Soohee was up next, and she felt a mix of nerves and excitement bubbling in her chest. She glanced at the clock, then at her notes, making sure she was ready. Her eyes drifted to Jungwon, who stood at the front of the room, looking dapper in a well-fitted suit and perfectly combed hair.
He looked amazing, and Soohee couldn't help but admire him. The way he carried himself with confidence and poise made her heart skip a beat.
"Next up is Choi Soohee," Jungwon announced, his voice clear and strong. "Please come up and present your analysis of 'Pride and Prejudice.'"
Soohee took a deep breath, gathered her notes, and walked to the front of the class. She smiled at her friends for support and then faced her classmates. Jungwon's encouraging nod gave her the boost she needed to start.
"Good morning, everyone," she began, her voice steady. "Today, I'll be discussing the themes of social class and marriage in Jane Austen's 'Pride and Prejudice.'"
As she delved into her analysis, Soohee felt herself gaining more confidence. She talked about the complexities of the characters, the social pressures they faced, and how Austen used wit and irony to critique the societal norms of her time. She illustrated her points with quotes from the novel and connected them to broader themes.
Jungwon watched her intently, impressed by her thorough understanding and eloquent delivery. He noticed how she engaged with the audience, making eye contact and using hand gestures to emphasize her points.
Soohee wrapped up her presentation with a thoughtful conclusion. "In essence, 'Pride and Prejudice' is not just a love story; it's a commentary on the rigid class structures of the 19th century and the limitations they imposed on personal happiness. Austen's work remains relevant today as it challenges us to look beyond superficial judgments and value genuine connections."
The class erupted in applause as Soohee finished. She felt a wave of relief and pride wash over her as she made her way back to her seat.
Jungwon smiled warmly at her. "Excellent job, Soohee. Your analysis was insightful and well-articulated. You clearly have a deep understanding of the text and its themes. Well done."
Soohee's cheeks flushed with happiness at his praise. "Thank you, Mr. Yang."
As she sat down, she couldn't help but steal another glance at Jungwon. The way his suit hugged his frame, his neatly combed hair, and his bright eyes made him look incredibly handsome. It was hard to focus on anything else when he looked so good.
Class continued, but Soohee's mind kept drifting back to Jungwon's words. His praise meant a lot to her, and she felt a renewed sense of motivation. She wanted to impress him, to show him that she was capable and intelligent.
