Jesse
We both slept in the following morning.
I woke up a little disoriented, realizing at once that I wasn't in my own bed, but that Birgitta was here. I grinned to myself, not even opening my eyes, only pulling myself closer to her and trying to get back to sleep. The sun was already bright behind the thick, hotel curtains. It was late, but I was so damn comfortable, and I didn't want to accidentally wake her if she wasn't ready to get up yet. We had nowhere to be until the concert tonight, we could stay in bed all day long if we wanted.
I wanted.
I opened my eyes when I remembered with a jolt what we had done yesterday. I had to make sure it was real.
She was sprawled out on her back, taking up a bigger portion of the bed than she usually did. Though, this bed was considerably larger than my own bed back home. She must have put a shirt on a some point in the night, because I didn't remember her doing it before we fell asleep. Her arms were up beside her head, hair a tangled mess, and mouth slightly open as she slept. My head was near her chest, I could see the glittering new rings on her left hand. I leaned up and just looked at her for a few moments, drinking it all in. She was gorgeous. Absolutely perfect. Everything I never knew I wanted and more. Maybe I was selfish for getting her to marry me to quickly. Maybe I was just one lucky bastard.
I relaxed back on the bed and closed my eyes, trying to get back to sleep. It was no use, I was too excited. I didn't want to wake her, but I couldn't wait for her to wake up either.
Carefully, I extracted myself from bed so I didn't disturb her. I was practically bursting, I was restless. I had to tell someone. I looked around, searching for my bag, found it and pulled on a pair of joggers before reaching for my mobile. I'd switched it off as soon as we'd returned to the hotel last night.
When I turned it back on, it blew up with text messages and missed calls. I quickly silenced it. They were mostly from Mum, she'd known part of my plan for the day before. I'd wait until Birgitta was awake before I spoke with her. Instead, I navigated over to Billy's contact information and tapped the call button, moving into the dining area of the suite so I wouldn't be too loud.
'Oi!' He exclaimed into the receiver after the line rung three times. 'You were meant to ring me last night, you daft twit! I've only sent you six texts, Lucy's been breathing down my neck for news!'
'Sorry, got a little distracted,' I grinned. 'Haven't checked any of my messages yet.'
'I take that as a positive sign,' he replied. 'Congratulations, mate. Seriously. It's about time!'
'Thanks,' I grinned a bit wider. 'We're pretty happy about it ourselves.'
'Does this mean you're leaving us? Going to turn yourself into a canuck?' He asked.
'Nah, unfortunately for you,' I told him. 'She's moving to England.'
'Brilliant!' He exclaimed. 'Saves you the trouble of flying me to Canada every other weekend.'
'Yeah, I suppose it does,' I chuckled.
'So, when's she coming over? D'you have to wait until you're married first? Or is she going to have to get a new job?'
'Ah, well, that's the other part of our news,' I told him.
'There's more?' He snorted into the mobile.
'Yeah,' I scoffed. 'Guess where I am.'
He groaned.
'You know I hate this game,' he said. 'You could be literally anywhere.'

Romance'I... shit, Birgitta,' I started. 'I didn't think the first person I went out with when I started dating again was going to be someone like you.' 'What do you mean?' She asked softly. 'I can't stop thinking about you,' I went on. 'I've never loved...
