Peyton looked over her shoulder, and came to the realization that Calvin Greyson was in the room with us. My best friend being the good friend she is, she moved towards her left, fully blocking my eyesight.

"Hey Bree, do you want to leave?" My best friend asked me meanwhile she was looking at me with concern written on her facial features.

I couldn't see my ex-boyfriend anymore, I was still able to listen to his voice singing carrying around the bar. Before replying to my best friend's question, I took another sip out from my drink. "Pey, I am okay, really. I don't want to leave, we are here to celebrate my birthday and that's what we are going to do. Calvin Greyson is just a person from my past, I am not going to let that ruin my birthday celebration."

I tried my hardest to tune out his voice but I couldn't. It was like my body wanted to hear his voice. Seeing him tonight was something that I didn't expect, I thought he wasn't coming back here. I have never been the type of person to hold grudges against anyone from my past.

I do dislike that I never learned the reason why the boy I used to love so much five years ago. Ended up breaking my heart into a million pieces. In result, my parents, Peyton, Tristan and Austen had to pick up and rebuild those broken pieces.

Although I had answered my best friend's question, it didn't stop Peyton and Tristan to remove their concerned looks from their faces. It's very clear that they knew our history and sadly there is bad blood left between us. Back then it took a couple of months to fully heal and recover from my first breakup and then I felt ready to move on with my life. Nothing hurts more like the heartbreak from your first love.

"Guys, seriously, I am good, please don't worry about me. I want to have fun with you guys on my birthday." I said, reassurance them, hoping that is enough to make their worries go away.

I looked at my cousin, who I found out he was looking at the stage with a murderous look written all over his face. If looks could kill, I am afraid that Calvin Greyson would be eleven feet below us.

"Austen, did you listen to what I just said?" I asked him, bumping his arm with my elbow to get his attention.

My actions finally snapped my cousin out of this trace, causing him to look at me. "Yeah, of course I did. Aubree, during the night you felt uncomfortable or you want to leave, just tell me and we will leave."

I looked back at my cousin, showing him a grateful smile. "Austen, I promise you that I will.

Four drinks later, I am starting to feel the alcohol in my blood. Calvin Greyson finished signing to the audience a long time ago and now he is nowhere to be seen and I am not mad about that. When I have alcohol in my veins, I feel very free, careless and sometimes I get into the mood to dance like no one is watching me.

Like the universe knew that I needed a distraction, a familiar song started playing in the speakers. With a huge grin on my lips, I set down my drink on the table and looked at Peyton. "Hey bestie, do you remember this song?"

When Peyton heard my voice, she stopped looking at her boyfriend and started looking at me. "Bree, of course I remember this song, I will never forget his song."

"That's what I thought, do you want to dance with me?" I asked my best friend not taking my eyes away from her.

"Bree, yes, let's do it, anything that the birthday girl wants, she will get." Peyton said, standing up from her chair and she walked towards me. "Gentlemen, we will be right back."
