The City Is Better With You (Ted Nivison x Reader)

Chapter Five

Ted and I sat at a small table in the Pizzeria. We ordered a Pepperoni pizza at the request of Ted. When we waited for the pizza we had gotten to talking.

"So Y/n, How do you feel about playing a little game" Ted started the conversation. before I could answer he continued, "20 questions, we will take turns asking 20 questions." It was a great idea, after all we didn't know much about each other. 

"Then ill start." I had to think about a good first question. "I got it, How long have you known Schlatt?"

"Hmm, its been Years!" Ted paused to think of his question, "Where are you from?"

"I'm from (Your City), Its smaller then here, I'm not a huge city person." I thought of my next question, and my next as me and Ted continued to ask and laugh. We asked basic questions like our favorite colors, our hobbies. We asked in depth questions like our dreams, past relationships, a secret, a guilty pleasure. it was finally down to the final question. Ted had a large grin on his face.

"This is it, This is the final question. Are you ready?" His grin grew larger as I nodded. "What's the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to you?" he laughed as he asked.

"Your joking, are we in middle school." I look down preparing to tell the story, before ted stopped me.

"Your right, I'm changing my question." he pondered on a new question, "When we tripped earlier, what did you think of first?" My eyes widened, I cant tell him the truth. "I had noticed you get really red." He laughed.

"We switched up real quick! I cant remember what I first thought of, I do remember winning and your red face as well." I returned the remarks watching his face turn dark pink. All I could do was laugh. "We should probably get going, we have been here for a while."

"That's so believable." Ted responded. As we got a cab Ted felt a buzz from his phone. Seeing it was Schlatt he answered. I didn't hear much  of the conversations other then Ted giving a few laughs, and a few Yes and nos. My attention drifted until I heard my name. "Y/n?" My head shot back up looking at Ted, still on the phone. "Would you wanna join Schlatt at his house for a few hours?"  I gave a silent nod as Ted went back to Schlatt. The cab dropped us off back at the hotel, Schlatt wanted to hangout in a couple of hours so me and Ted could finally relax. 

"Do you wanna wanna go our separate ways for a bit or still hangout?" I asked. I didn't have much to do in my room so I hoped Ted would still wanna hangout.

"We can totally hangout! We get to go to your room this time." Ted Laughed. We got up to my room after grabbing a few sodas. Sitting down next to each other on the couch I grabbed the tv remote and started scrolling for something to watch. "Lets watch a movie, I have a great suggestion." He grabbed the remote from my hands. He put on the first Harry Potter movie and looked over for approval.

"Harry potter? Hmmm never watched it. It better be good." He looked over with a shocked look.

"Never?" He fake gasped at the idea. I shook my head before looking back over to the Tv. "Then Its settled, Before you leave, we will have watched all of the harry potter movies." I wont lie the movie was good but I was still so tired from the last two days. I could slowly feel my eyes start to close and my head falling to my right.

--Teds POV--

I turned on Harry Potter and looked over, I had assumed she had watched them before. 

"Harry potter? Hmmm never watched it. It better be good." I looked over again, Shocked she's never watched the movies. They are so known and most people have at least seen them. We went back to watching the movie. I wasn't paying attention to anything until I felt a weight on my shoulder. I looked over and saw Y/n asleep, using me as her pillow. I wasn't gonna wake her up, she looked so peaceful.

The movie ended and I just scrolled my phone, Schlatt didn't wanna hangout for another hour so I planned on letting her sleep until then. 20 more minutes passed and I could feel Y/n waking up. Lifting her head off my shoulder and rubbing her eyes she looked at me.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to fall asleep." She wasn't asleep long but her voice was still groggy.

"Dont be sorry, If your not up for hanging out later just say the word." I didn't want her to tire herself out too much. "If you do want to hangout still, he wants to in 40 minutes." 

"I still wanna hangout! I want to quickly change though." She stood up ad walked to the bedroom. I looked around the room, It was strange how everything was flipped in the room. After a few minutes she came out of the room wearing a cropped tank top and a pair of sweatpants.

"By the time we get there, we should be right on time." I stood up and walked over to her door, waiting a moment for her. She gave a slight nod and walked over as well. We took the elevator down to the lobby and started to walk to Schlatt's house. As we walked and talked I could feel her hand brush past mine from time to time. I didn't want to look at her in case she looked at me and saw my face, i could tell I was burning up.

Why was I feeling this? Is it in my head or real?

When will this feeling go away?

Did she know what she was doing to me?
