The City Is Better With You (Ted Nivison x Reader)

Chapter Fourteen

After the whole situation with Alli, Ted and I sat on the porch for a while. After I had spoken he had been very quite. There was still snow falling and cars driving past, You could hear the wind go through the trees. I wanted to say something to Ted but I didn't know what. while I thought about what to say to him I heard his voice.

"Y/n?" He says, I look up. "I have 1 more gift." He looked at me, a smile growing on his face.

"What is it?" I ask.

"I cant tell you, But I need you to meet me in the lobby of our hotel at 5pm, tomorrow."  He said

"Your such a little dork." I laughed, his head now resting on mine. We sat there for for a while longer, saying some words every once and a while. 

-Time Skip to 3pm The Next Day-

Ted didn't give me any direction on what to wear or where we were going. Luckily I had a outfit that could go as casually nice or formal. I walked into the bathroom deciding to wash up, getting out of the shower I threw on a shorter black dress with thin straps. Throwing on a light jacket made it for casual. Leaving the bathroom I Ted coming back into the room, He gone over to Charlies to talk about what was happening tonight. I see Ted look at me right away.

"You look," He paused. As he looked me up and down I saw his cheeks turn pink. "You look beautiful." He finished. I walked over to him looking  at him, I draped my arms  over his shoulders and behind his neck. His face red and my stomach doing flips over and over. As I was going to say a little comment to fluster him more I feel two hands grab my waist and pick me up.

"Ted!" I was caught off guard by him picking me up.

"Two can play this game Beautiful." He said smirking. Placing me down on the counters he walked away to go change. My stomach was filled with butterfly's, and was face was bright red. Ted walked out wearing casual but nice clothes.

"Why does he look so hot wearing that." I thought. I didn't really think it, Ted even heard me.

"I knew I was handsome, But I haven't been called hot." He laughed walking over. My eyes grew as he spoke, I didn't mean to say that outload. Did I just ruin the evening?.

"I didn't mean to say that outload." I tried laughing it off. Ted reached out his hand waiting for me to take it. As I took it he led me out the door and we headed out. 

We finally arrived at the location, It was a nice open area behind a bunch of trees. I could see an area set up. There were some snacks and drinks, His camera, A stage and some little lights all around.

"What is this?" I looked around the set up area.

"This evening will have two parts. Part 1 is the watching of some movies being reenacted by Charlie, Schlatt and I." I see Charlie and Schlatt around the corner. "Part 2 of the evening will be some stargazing and talking, Just us." My heart skipped A beat hearing Ted say the words 'Just us'.

"That is the best thing I've ever heard of." I smiled. Ted walked over the stage. The boys acted out Frozen, Shrek and The Mario movie. Each of the movies took 30min at the most with many things missing. We all laughed but after saying goodbye, It was just Ted and I. Sitting in silence for a little bit I sit up. Looking at Ted I had to fight the urge to kiss him.

"Y/n?" Ted looked at me looking at him, My head bolted up and he sat up. We just looked at each other for a minute, I see Teds eyes look at mine, my lips and back to my eyes. "Can I do something?" He asked. I could feel my heart racing just from hearing his voice.

"Yeah, What you gonn-" I started and was stopped when I felt Teds lips press against mine. It was light and sweet, not long as Ted pulled away looking embarrassed. 

"I'm so sorry, I, I just." He looked away quickly. I was speechless, I couldn't find a single word to say. While I couldn't say anything I moved his face to look at me, his face looked sunburnt from blush. I moved closer to him kissing him again. This time lasted longer, but the energy was still there. It was rougher then the first time as well, I could feel his hands now holding me close by the waist. As we finished the kiss we finally took a breath.

"Would it be cringy if I said I've been waiting to do that?" I laughed. looking down into my lap.

"It would be if I didn't feel the same way." He smiled, laying back down on the blanket. "Y/n? Can we not tell Charlie or Schlatt about this... Just for now." He looked at me in a way that made me want to comfort him. I nodded and laid down, cuddling next to him. I felt my eyes start to close as I thought about what just happened, My heart still pounding, My stomach still flipping and thoughts still spinning.
