The City Is Better With You (Ted Nivison x Reader)

Chapter Eight

We met up with Schlatt outside of the the theater, he complained about having to be there but in the end finally shut up. Schlatt, like discussed sat in between me and Ted so he wouldn't try to run off. The musical wasn't bad and Alli did amazing. We went to Alli's house afterwards to surprise her, She got home around 12, luckily she gave me a key for just in case. Before ALli got home Ted had received a call and stepped outside. Schlatt looked at me with a large smirk on his face.

"You gonna tell me what I walked into this morning." He said

"What do you mean." I just wanted to play dumb about it all.

"Y/n Dont try and play dumb, Your face is turning red thinking about it." He went on. "After our talk last night I hoped you would tell me." He looked sad.

"Your right." I sighed, Taking a deep breath I started. "We went to make a cake this morning and to surprise you with it, While we were baking he threw flour at me. It started a little battle and at the end he pinned me into the corner." I could feel the edges of my mouth start to lift, and my face start to burn. "One hand rested on the cupboards about us and the other on the counter next to me and he looked down to me." 

"Oh, Really? Ted Did that?" Schlatt asked, I nodded and continued.

"That's not the end." His eyes widened. "He called me out on being flustered so when he stepped back I leaped, Knocking him over. I landed on top of him, after a few moments later you came in." I finished.

"What did you say to him, when you fell?" He looked at me. "He was as red as a strawberry when he stood up." He smirked.

"I may or may not have said, 'Oh Teddy, Your cute when your flustered." I said quietly hoping he wouldn't hear me. His jaw dropped, I knew he had heard me. I covered my face with my hands laughing. As my hands were up I hear the door open, Seeing Ted walk back in.

"What did I miss?" Ted looked at me.

"Oh, Nothing much, Teddy." Schlatt said. I didn't think it was possible for my face to be even more red. I looked over at Ted who was just as red as I was. "What's wrong Teddy, Your very red." Schlatt gave a menacing laugh. "Y/n what do you think about Teddy Here?"

"Ok, Shut the fuck up." I got out threw my laughs. I could hardly breathe. The door opens again and I see Alli. She looked at all of us in her apartment.

"What is happening, Why are Ted and Y/n red?" Alli smirked.

"Ill tell you later." Schlatt laughed. Me and Ted rolled our eyes. I gave Alli a huge hug.

"You did amazing tonight!" I held on tight to her. "I also wanted to tell you I'm not leaving tomorrow anymore." She looked confused. "I'm gonna stay with Ted in his hotel room." Her smirk grew larger looking over to Ted.

"Oooooo, Dont anything I wouldn't do." She laughed. We spent an hour with Alli, Talking, Laughing and Joking. We decided it was starting to get late when Schlatt had to open his big mouth.

"Final thing of tonight. A gift if you may." I looked at Alli and Ted, We were all confused. "The story of Ted and Y/n in my kitchen." He then went on to tell about the cake, The flour and the corner. I prepared myself to have to hear about me calling him Teddy again. For some reason Schlatt left that part out. We left her apartment, her mouth hung open. Me and Ted rolled our eyes, laughing now. And Schlatt smiled the whole walk outside. "Imma take a sperate cab, save money and all." He looked at me and winked. Me and Ted got into our cab with an awkward silence. We walked up to the room only saying little words. getting into our room I finally spoke. 

"I'm sorry, For tell Schlatt what happened, I didn't think he would keep bringing it up." I said Looking down, I didn't want him to be upset with me.

"Its okay, Him calling me Teddy was strange but it made me think of you each time." He sat down on the couch. "I'm not sure how tired you are, how would you like to watch a movie?"

"Sure, I'm just gonna change into more comfy clothes." I smiled. I went to my bag, grabbing some shorts and oversized t-shirt, coming out of the bathroom Ted looked at me. A smile showed on his face. I sat down next to him as he picked a movie. We decided to watch one of the Barbie movies. Half way through the movie I could feel my eyes get heavy. I leaned my head on Ted's shoulder and fell asleep.

--Teds POV--

I felt a weight land on my shoulder, It was Y/n sleeping again. She looked so peaceful when she slept. I continued to watch the movie until the end. Once the movie ended I looked down again. She was still sleeping. I didn't want to wake her up so I decided to sleep on the couch. Moving myself into a more comfortable sleep position I moved her head onto my chest. I fell asleep very quickly after going through my thoughts.
