The City Is Better With You (Ted Nivison x Reader)

Chapter Ten

The four of us left the hotel, Schlatt had planned a late night around the city, Looking at some stores, Going to central park and a surprise at the end of the evening. I still wasn't a huge fan of the city but I wasn't dreading the night. We started with walking down some main areas, going in and out of stores. The first store was the Lego store. I looked at some of the larger builds when Charlie came up behind me.

"Hey Y/n!" He had a smile on his face. "You like building Lego?" He asked.

"Hey Charlie!" I looked at him. "Yeah I do, Its something easy to do to turn off your mind." I looked back over to Statue of Liberty Lego set with a smile on my face. "Too bad they are stupid expensive." I laughed

"Can I ask you a question?" Charlie asked still looking at me. He turned his head to look over at Ted and back at me. "What's going on with you and Teddy?" He laughed slightly.

"I'm assuming that since you called him Teddy, Schlatt told you," I laughed at Schlatt's stupidity. "There's been a few moments between us." That's all I said and he gave me a look before walking away. I walked back over to the group. Going into the next store and then the next. Charlie and I were talking a lot to get to know each other. Once we finished in the last store for the evening Schlatt called two cabs.

"Next stop is Central Park!" He said getting into a cab with me. He said he had something to talk to me ASAP, Ted and Charlie got into their own cab. Schlatt looked at me as he started asking questions. "Why did you lie? What really happened? Tell me the truth Y/n!" He spoke quickly.

"What are you going on about?" I was really confused. I hadn't lied to Shlatt about anything, only this morning and no way her knew.

"This morning, You and Ted did not sleep in separate rooms!" He crossed his arms as he fake pouted.

"Wha- Ho- What?" I was lost for words. Did Ted tell Schlatt? Did Ted tell Charlie who told Schlatt?

"I'm not stupid, I knew as soon as you spoke it wasn't the truth." He laughed.

"Fine, Your right. I fell asleep during the movie last night and I'm guessing Ted didn't want to wake me up. I woke up in the morning to him holding me." I looked away. He looked at me with a large smirk. 

"Once we get time away from Ted again, WE ARE TALKING ABOUT THIS!" He was determined. I rolled my eyes while getting out of the car. I see Ted and Charlie laughing, As I walked over they waved.

"Long time no see." Charlie laughed. "What did Schlatt wanna talk to you about?" He looked at Ted then me. I could tell he knew about this morning. Did Ted tell him, Did Schlatt tell him?

"Nothing that big, Just something that happened today." I looked at Ted as his face started to turn pink. We walked back over to the Big Guy himself as he told us plan 2.

"I was thinking that we can just walk around, Its really pretty at night!" He looked at us, We nodded and started walking. We joked around some, told some serious story's, and I heard some embarrassing story's from the each of them. We were almost done with the walk and even though I had worn a sweater it was very light. I was starting to get very cold, Ted looked at me. He must have seen me shivering cause he took off his hoodie that he was wearing and handed it to me. 

"I cant take this Ted, Your gonna be cold." I said handing the hoodie back.

"No, I'll be fine. I would rather be cold then you be cold." He refused to take the sweater. I tried to argue him but it wasn't going to work. 

Schlatt had been right, The park was stunning at night. The entire city was much more calm and enjoyable. We reached where we started from and got into the cabs again. This time Ted and I shared a cab. We didn't know where we were headed, but I did now that I was getting tired from doing so much. I looked over at Ted, He tapped his shoulder for me to rest my head. I did just that, I looked at Ted every now and then, I could tell that he was looking at me too. Our cab finally stopped and we look outside. Schlatt standing right outside opened the door.

"Yo, Lovebirds. Get out!" Ted was dragged out of the car by Charlie and Schlatt dragged me. We looked around as we continued to be dragged by Schlatt. "Close your eyes." He said. The three of us closed our eyes without second thought and I feel us turn a corner. We each got placed neatly before. "Open them now." I see Schlatt standing proud of himself, and I see a large Christmas tree standing Infront of me. 

"Schlatt, This is fucking sick!" Ted Looked like a child on Christmas morning. He looked adorable.

"I figured to show it now since Christmas is in like a week." He paused. I had completely forgotten Christmas was a thing. I didn't know how long I was staying, Was I staying in the city for Christmas and New years? Schlatt continued talking. "I would like to formally invite Y/n to the Schlatt Christmas, And if you want to invite Alli, You can!" I suppose I'm spending Christmas in the city.

"I would love to!" I smiled. All of a sudden I feel a tight hug, Ted had grabbed me from behind. I turn around to hug him back. I felt so safe whenever he held me, I never wanted to let go. No. No, I cant be thinking this. I looked up at him. His smile was so big and infectious.

"I wanted to tell you about this! I'm so glad your staying." He let go of the hug, His face was so pink. We spent some more time at the tree before deciding to head back to our respected places. Once we got back to the hotel Charlie learned his room still wasn't ready. "Charlie, You can stay in our room tonight." Ted looked at me and I nodded.

"Thanks Ted, Wherever you want me to sleep I'll sleep there." Charlie said looking at me. He looked at Ted and gave him a nudge. "If you two want to share the bed cough, Cough, I can sleep on the couch." I gave Charlie the death glare.

"You can take the couch, Ted and I will figure out our sleeping situation." I laughed. I wouldn't mind sleeping in the same bed as Ted, I would really like to, But I dont wanna scare Ted. Charlie went and slept on the couch and Ted insisted I at least sleep on the bed, I didn't want him on the floor though, So we both slept in bed. I felt his arm wrap around me again as I set my head on his chest. I didn't want this to end, I could lay here for the rest of my life and die happy.

"Goodnight N/n." I hear Ted say quietly

"Goodnight Teddy." I responded, grateful the lights were off. I could tell my checks were turning pink.
