Winter's Embrace
In the heart of winter's chill,
A snowman stands so silent, still.
His eyes, two coals that seem to gaze,
Into the void of icy haze. Each flake that falls, a whisper clear,
Of memories that draw me near.
Your laughter, like a distant chime,
Echoes softly through the time.I shaped this snow with hands so cold,
Hoping warmth in you to hold.
But winter's breath, it steals away,
The warmth that lingered in our days. His scarf, a tattered thread of red,
Reminds me of the words unsaid.
The promises that melted fast,
Like snowflakes in the winter’s grasp. In solitude, the snowman stands,
A symbol of our fleeting plans.
His smile, a frozen, wistful grin,
Reflects the silence deep within.I wander through this snowy night,
Beneath the stars, so pale, so bright.
And think of you, so far, so dear,
Wishing somehow you were near. For winter's cold cannot conceal,
The warmth of love, the pain I feel.
As snowflakes kiss the ground below,
I whisper softly, let you know:Though winter wraps the world in white,
Your memory keeps my heart alight.
A snowman stands, a lonely friend,
In winter's grip, till seasons end.So here I am, with longing's call,
In winter’s arms, I stand, enthralled.
A snowman by my side, a sign,
Of love that spans the test of time.
