The Winter Wanderer's End

The journey’s end is almost here,
Through ice and snow, through every tear.
I see the dawn, a distant light,
But not the warmth I seek each night.

The path was long, the nights so cold,
Your love a story left untold.
It kept me warm through frost and pain,
A fleeting hope in winter's reign.

I walked through shadows, faced the storm,
Holding dreams to keep me warm.
Now as the dawn begins to break,
I wonder if it’s all a mistake.

The snowflakes melt, a gentle kiss,
Whispering secrets of all I miss.
Your laughter fades in the thaw,
A distant echo, a love’s own law.

No longer lost, yet still not found,
I wander on this frozen ground.
Through every season, come what may,
Your memory lingers, night and day.

The winter’s grip begins to fade,
But our connection seems to fray.
To cherish you, through night and day,
Feels like a dream that's slipped away.

So here I stand, at winter’s end,
No longer lost, yet still pretend.
From this journey, cold and true,
My heart still reaches out to you.

Though winter’s vast and nights are long,
My love for you remains so strong.
In the warmth of memories past,
I find a solace, shadows cast.

With hope anew, I tread the way,
In search of you, come what may.
Though not together, not just yet,
My heart, for you, will never forget.

For though the winter held me tight,
I still believe in morning light.
One day, perhaps, our paths will cross,
And all these moments won't be lost.

P.S. sorry, late. I had severe fever yesterday.

P.S.S. As the winter fades, I hold onto hope that one day, we'll find each other again. My heart, always, is yours.
