Cotton Candy Clouds
In the carnival of youth, we found delight,
With cotton candy spun in colors bright.
Hand in hand, we wandered through the night,
Sweet whispers shared, hearts taking flight. The sugar melted softly on our tongues,
As laughter filled the air, the night was young.
With every bite, a new memory sprung,
A tapestry of joy, forever sung.Beneath the neon lights, your eyes aglow,
We danced through dreams where only we could go.
The world was ours, time moved so slow,
In moments sweet as cotton candy’s flow. The fairgrounds buzzed with life, a symphony,
Yet all I heard was your heart’s melody.
In every spin of the Ferris wheel, I’d see,
A future bright, just you and me.Now the carnival is gone, the lights have dimmed,
Yet in my heart, those memories have brimmed.
Each time I taste that sugar, lightly skimmed,
I feel your touch, where love once brimmed. The cotton candy clouds may fade away,
But in my mind, those nights will always stay.
In every spun sugar’s sweet display,
I find the love that never went astray.Though distance now between us lies,
I’ll cherish those sweet carnival skies.
In dreams, beneath the moon’s soft guise,
Our love spins on, it never dies.
