After the longest day, where weariness clings,
And the weight of the world pulls at my strings,
I find my solace in a simple gaze,
In the warmth of your smile, where my heart stays.
Your face, a balm to my troubled mind,
In you, my love, the peace I find.
No words needed, no grand display,
Just your presence, takes the pain away.
In your arms, I lay down my tired soul,
With you, I feel completely whole.
You’re the rest I needed, the calm in the storm,
In your embrace, I find my home, my norm.
Through all the noise, through all the strife,
You, my love, are the light in my life.
The day’s battles fade, as I hold you near,
